2 | "we are healed" means what? | Is 53:5 | terrib | 116426 | ||
J Hunt, Many preachers take this verse out of context. This has nothing to do with physical ailments. It has to do with our relationship with the Father. The whole verse talks about spiritual qualities; transgessions, iniquitiies and chastisement. We are healed in our relationship that was destroyed by Adam. Isaiah 53:6 (KJV)... "and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all." The context of Isaiah is talking about the sin offering that Jesus came to be not about physical healing. Although, through Christ, we have the power through the Holy Spirit to perform healing as He did. (Eph 2:6 KJV) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: (present tense) Peace terrib |
