hello Azure well, I was dressed in the 'normal' way that a young pretty celeb singer would be, and we all know in this day and age that that usually means one would not be wearing very much atall!! I used to revel in dressing to reveal my body. I now know what my problem was: remember the mad man that spent his time doing himself harm and ripping his clothes off? When Jesus touched his life, next time we see him in scripture, he's clothed praise God and sitting at Jesus feet!! Well that's me. I now see myself just as God sees me and I know the high value He has for me. this makes me know that i don't need to expose my body to entice men, or to prove myself more beautiful than other women(which to be honest is ultimately what it was all about). I now know that the light of God shining out of me is the only true beauty there is!! the 'raising a high praise' part is in reference to what I now do- i use my singing talent to sing and testify to worship and to praise in and out of church. i hope this has cleared it up? |

Dear Otherearthmother, Thank you. That's clear now. May God be glorified with your work and His blessings be always with you. May I use the below scriptures as a reminder to both you and me. 1 Corinthians 10:23-24 All things are lawful, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful, but not all things edify. Let no one seek his own good, but that of his neighbor. 1 Timothy 2:9-10 Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments, but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness. Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. Shalom Azure |
