1 | So how do you hear God's voice? | Eccl 7:17 | New Creature | 135860
Let me briefly describe one instance where I knew without a doudt that I heard from God. I had applied for a new high tech job, and prayed that if it is God's will for me, that I would get this job, then I would know God wanted me there. So I told God in prayer, that if I got the job, I then would know it was His will. And if I didn't get the job, I would know that it was not God's will for me to have the job. So I said: God, I am committing this matter into your hands, and am trusting you for what ever the outcome will be. Then I found myself worrying over it, and God with His still small voice spoke to my heart and said; "My child why do I find you worrying over this? Didn't you committ the outcome of it into my keeping?" And then I apologized to God for my worrying, because it demonstrated a lack of trust in God on my part. I then completely left the matter in His hands no longer worrying over it, and I felt totally at peace about it. The final conclusion was. I did get the job. I had heard God's loving and still small voice. And I knew that being on this job was where God wanted me to be. He had given me a new workplace, which I considered a new place of evangelism, to reach out to the lost. New Creature |

Thanks for sharing your experience. I find it has more meaning (for me) if I can see where God has been applied in someone's everyday life.

your welcome joy; One other suggestion on hearing God's voice. Someone has said: "In order to hear God's voice, first turn down the world's volume." We live in such a busy fast paced, noisy world these days. We need to get alone in a quiet place, and spend time alone with God in prayer and in His word. New Creature |
