2 | Do you believe in God? If so, then why? | Ps 19:1 | Hank | 158119
Yes, I believe in God the Father Almighty and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord. Only a fool believes otherwise: "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God" (Psalm 14:1). .... Why do I believe in God? Well, I'm not a fool! The Bible, which is the word of God, tells me about God from cover to cover. And "the heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmanent showeth his handiwork" (Psalm 19:1). ..... Now, "Agnositic," do you believe in God? If so, then why? If not, then why not? --Hank
3 | Do you believe in God? If so, then why? | Ps 19:1 | Agnostic | 158145
"Yes, I believe in God the Father Almighty and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord." Okay. "Only a fool believes otherwise: "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God" (Psalm 14:1)." This verse is referring to atheists as fools. This verse is not referring to fools as atheists, as you imply. ".... Why do I believe in God? Well, I'm not a fool!" I'm not convinced that you're not a fool. Or are you rather saying that you're not an atheist, in the context of the verse? "The Bible, which is the word of God, tells me about God from cover to cover. And "the heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmanent showeth his handiwork" (Psalm 19:1). ....." Okay. The Bible tells me about God too. "Now, "Agnositic," do you believe in God? If so, then why? If not, then why not? --Hank" Do you know what an agnostic is? |

4 | Do you believe in God? If so, then why? | Ps 19:1 | Hank | 158149
Yes, I know the standard definition and etymology of the word 'agnostic.' But this is not English 101. It is not a platform to debate the existence of God or to consider philosophic arguments for or against His existence. It is a Bible study forum. We have a high view of Scripture, and maintain and teach that it is the inerrant word of God. So do you have a question or comment based on Scripture? If you are sincerely interested in the study of the Bible and hold it to be the word of God, we bid you welcome. If you are merely interested in exchanging vacuous philosophical and speculative ideas and musings, we bid you seek another web site. --Hank
5 | Do you believe in God? If so, then why? | Ps 19:1 | Agnostic | 158152
"Yes, I know the standard definition and etymology of the word 'agnostic.'" Good. "But this is not English 101." No, it is not. Rather, it is Math 101, in this particular context. You may use the word 'agnostic' as the answer to your question. I believe that the word 'agnostic' effectively answers your question. "It is not a platform to debate the existence of God or to consider philosophic arguments for or against His existence." You didn't do the math. I answered your question with the word 'agnostic'. "It is a Bible study forum." Then why are you debating with me? "We have a high view of Scripture, and maintain and teach that it is the inerrant word of God." Then perhaps you should get back to the scripture, instead of debating with me. So do you have a question or comment based on Scripture?" Yes, I do. Do you believe in God? If so, then why? "If you are sincerely interested in the study of the Bible and hold it to be the word of God, we bid you welcome." Unfortunately, you've given me insincere answers to a sincere question up to this point. "If you are merely interested in exchanging vacuous philosophical and speculative ideas and musings, we bid you seek another web site. --Hank" I am only interested in obtaining sincere answers to my questions. But you've failed to answer sincerely. |

Hello Agnostic, Yes, I believe in God. Romans 1:19-20 (ESV) For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. [20] For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. Steve |

8 | Do you believe in God? If so, then why? | Ps 19:1 | Coty | 164204
Look around. It takes more faith to believe everything came from nothing than it does to believe in God. Just because a person may not understand God does not mean that he doesn't exist. Even if evolution were true, that would not explain how everything got here. I am assuming you do not know if there is a God or not. I would like to ask you why you would not believe in God, if that would be O.K. I know some might lose faith because of an alleged contradicition in the Bible, or it could be that you wonder why an infinitly good God allows evil things to happen. Thank you very much for your time. In Christ the Lord, Coty |
