Subject: Do you believe in God? If so, then why? |
Bible Note: "Yes, I know the standard definition and etymology of the word 'agnostic.'" Good. "But this is not English 101." No, it is not. Rather, it is Math 101, in this particular context. You may use the word 'agnostic' as the answer to your question. I believe that the word 'agnostic' effectively answers your question. "It is not a platform to debate the existence of God or to consider philosophic arguments for or against His existence." You didn't do the math. I answered your question with the word 'agnostic'. "It is a Bible study forum." Then why are you debating with me? "We have a high view of Scripture, and maintain and teach that it is the inerrant word of God." Then perhaps you should get back to the scripture, instead of debating with me. So do you have a question or comment based on Scripture?" Yes, I do. Do you believe in God? If so, then why? "If you are sincerely interested in the study of the Bible and hold it to be the word of God, we bid you welcome." Unfortunately, you've given me insincere answers to a sincere question up to this point. "If you are merely interested in exchanging vacuous philosophical and speculative ideas and musings, we bid you seek another web site. --Hank" I am only interested in obtaining sincere answers to my questions. But you've failed to answer sincerely. |
