Greetings Aileen, Your statement in part, “I would tell the Lord I have believed in Him all of my life” That’s a rather hard thing to do since we are actually born physically alive but at the same time we are born spiritually dead thus the need to be born again. There has to be a point a some time in your life when your experienced the following John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Couple that with the following. John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Hey CDBJ: I was brought up going to church and fearing the Lord (literally). I accepted Jesus as my Savior about 16 years ago and was baptized (fully immersed) about 4 years ago. Is that what you were asking? Repent ... definition (Mine) truly sorry for what you have done, ask God for forgiveness and try to never do it (whatever the sin was) again. |
