'Is the Jehovah's Witness religion Christian?' If anyone reading this is a Jehovah's Witness, please understand that I am not against you as an individual. 'The answer to the question is, "No. It is not Christian." Like all non-Christian cults, the Jehovah's Witness organization distorts the essential doctrines of Christianity. It denies the deity of Christ, His physical resurrection, and salvation by grace. This alone makes it non-Christian. To support its erring doctrines, the Watchtower organization (which is the author and teacher of all official Jehovah's Witness theology), has even altered the Bible to make it agree with its changing and non-Christian teachings. 'Typical with cults that use the Bible to support its position is a host of interpretive errors: 'Taking verses out of their immediate context. 'Refusing to read verses in the entire biblical context. 'Inserting their theological presuppositions into the text. 'Altering the Biblical text to suit their needs. 'Latching onto one verse to interpret a host of others. 'Changing the meanings of words. 'Proclaiming some passages to be figurative when they contradict their doctrines. 'Adding to the Word of God. 'Additionally, the Jehovah's Witness organization requires of its members regular weekly attendance at their "Bible Study" meetings where they are repeatedly indoctrinated with anti-Christian teachings. This is done by reading the Watchtower magazine, following along with what it says, reading the questions it asks, and reciting the answers it gives. In other words, the Watchtower Organization carefully trains its members to let the Organization do their thinking for them. For confirmation of this, please read Does the Watchtower organization control the JW's thinking? (www.carm.org/jw/watchtower.htm). (...) 'Primarily, the Jehovah's Witness organization is a mind control organization that uses its people to pass out literature and send in "donations" to the headquarters in Brooklyn, New York. '"Thus the Bible is an organizational book and belongs to the Christian congregation as an organization, not to individuals, regardless of how sincerely they may believe that they can interpret the Bible." The Watchtower, Oct. 1, 1967. p. 587. 'The Watchtower organization of the Jehovah's Witnesses is a non-Christian organization that uses its people to promulgate false doctrines, sell a multitudinous amount of literature, and expand its grip into the lives of its members and their families. 'It is a non-Christian cult.' ____________________ (www.carm.org/jw/cult.htm) john11 |

Hello Mr. Kalos, You obviously have been misinformed. I am a Witness of Jehovah and your "carm" site is a hate site targeting Bible truths. Showing that this is true, most of what it says about us are plain ridiculous lies. Jehovah's Witnesses on the other hand, are "united" in their worship of God, a must for the "true" religion. Can you say that about other so-called Christian religions? Just read the posts on this forum! As a Jehovah's Witness, how do I know that we are practicing the form of worship that Jesus taught? The Bible points out that authentic Christians must have true love among themselves. (John 13:34, 35) Do other so-called "Christian" religions kill others of their own faith if asked to by their government? Yes, sorry to say they do. Is that showing true love? But you know what, we don't. We wouldn't even kill you if you were a Baptist much less a "fellow believer". True Christians have love among themselves in ways you'll never get to begin to appreciate much less not going to war. Also, the Bible tells us again and again that the true religion must sanctify God’s name, Jehovah. (Isaiah 12:4, 5; Matthew 6:9) And they must make known that name.—Exodus 3:15; John 17:26. Does Christendom do that or do they go to the other extreme and take God's beloved name Jehovah, out of their Bible translations? You know the dishonoring shameful answer. Another identifying feature of true worship is respect for God’s Word, the Bible. It is the unique book that reveals Jehovah God’s personality and his purposes. (John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16, 17) We believe the text at 1 Cor 8:6 when it says, "there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and we through him." Many in christendom do not believe that verse and wish it wasn't in the Bible. Do you believe that verse as an inspired text of the Almighty God? Likewise, do you believe John 17:3? "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."? Additionally, true Christians proclaim the Kingdom of God as man’s only hope for everlasting life on a paradise earth. (Mark 13:10; Revelation 21:1-4) Again, you know for a fact that most "orthodox" religions today support the U.N. But we don't, we keep separate from this world’s corrupt politics and its defiling way of life. (John 15:19; James 1:27; 4:4) Who today have really met these criteria? The facts establish that there is only one answer—Jehovah’s Witnesses. Each of your posted "lies" can be scripturally addressed by most any Jehovah's Witness in a comparitively Biblically, scholarly fashion, as they "know their Bibles". If you want to post what Jehovah's Witnesses believe ask us, not some "hate-site". |
