2 | ISREAL'S REJECTION OF THE MESSIAH | Romans | Paulus | 145669
By the way, many people think that Israel has not entered into their land. Joshua says explicitly that they did (Jos. 11.23). I think that the problem resides in an eschatological viewpoint. Many think that amillenialists refuse to recognize Israel as a special nation and that many of the promises (as the land) have to be met in the future. It is true that Israel has a special part in the plan of God through history, but it is not to say that nothing has been already accomplished in the past. I think that the land is a past event. At the same time, premillenialists are not saying that all amillenialists are out of the track in their way of interpretation concerning Israel. Just to be well understood, I am amillenialist while I think that many points of the premillenialists are good, strong and true. It is a question of being balanced in our hermeneutical approach.
