1 | "son of God" vs. "son of Man" | Daniel | lookN4luv | 131729
Hi Ray, and thank you. Would you please tell me where the last two quotes come from? these seem to make a distinct difference in Jesus and the Son of Man. JKW The prophets spoke the words of God, but the Prophet, the Man Jesus Christ spoke the words of God and is known as the Son of Man. God is not a son of man that He should change His mind. If He has spoken, will He not do it? |

2 | "son of God" vs. "son of Man" | Daniel | Ray | 131777
Hi lookN4luv, The references I gave you spoke of the words of (God). The (Prophet) is spoken of in: John 3:31, "(He) who comes from above is above all, he who is of the earth is from the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from above is above all." Jesus is above all the sons of men. John 4:19, "The woman said to Him, "Sir, I perceive that You are a (Prophet)." John 4:29, NKJ, "Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this [One] be the (Christ)?" John 6:14, "When therefore the people saw the sign which He had performed, they said, "This [One] is of a truth the (Prophet) [the One] who is to come into the world." 1) The Man Jesus Christ can be interpretted in these references: Acts 17:29, "Being then the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the *divine *nature is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and thought of man. 30 Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all everywhere should repent. 31 because He has fixed a day in which (He) will judge the world in righteousness, through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead." 1 Timothy 2:5, NKJ, "For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Jesus Christ, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, 7 for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle--I am speaking the truth in (Christ) and not lying--a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth." 2) The other Scripture I had in mind was: Numbers 23:19, "God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? 20 Behold, I have received a command to bless; When (He) has blessed, then I cannot revoke it." 1 Samuel 15:29, "And also the Glory of Israel will not lie or change His mind; for He is not a man that He should change His mind. 30 Then he said, "I have sinned; but please honor me now before the elders of my people and before Israel, and go back with me, that I may worship the Lord your (God)." The parentheses are mine for comparisons. From the heart, Ray |

Thank you Ray. You have given me some interesting scriptures to study. In my studies I have come accross something you might find of interest. In the new Testiment Jesus is reffered to as "Son of Man" 83 times. And all but one of these are Jesus calling himself " Son of Man". huh .......... JKW |

4 | "son of God" vs. "son of Man" | Daniel | Ray | 136294
Hi lookN4luv, I just happened on this post that I did not get to somehow. I wanted to make clear that I am NOT trying to tell you that Jesus was not the Son of Man as He declared and was declared to be. The reference from the book of Numbers says that God is not a son of man. This lower case "son of man" is what Jesus is not. He is the Son of Man, the Son [sic]of God. I also interpret by capitalization the Scriptures as saying that He is the Son of David, the Son of Abraham, Matthew 1:1, NKJ. From the heart, Ray |
