1 | How can the medium contact the dead? | 1 Samuel | Shirley Ujest | 154371
This was not Samuel but a demon. God will not violate his own commandments. (See Deut 18:11.) If you read this account carefully, you even see that Saul himself, in obedience to this command, had attempted to rid the land of spirit mediums (1 Sam 28:3), but now he resorts to this pagan practice. Surely, the God that did not spare his only begotten in order to satisfy his perfect justice, did not violate his own law in this case.
2 | How can the medium contact the dead? | 1 Samuel | mark d seyler | 154374
Deut 18:10 "There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11 or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. Does God forbid what is impossible for us to do? Is there scriptural evidence that this was a demon impersonating Samuel? |
