I have tried to read thru the book of genesis, and have found alot of the terms not sure of the meaning. I also Have often wondered, How If God made Adam and Eve, as the beginning of mankind. and Eve was the first woman on earth, to bear children. Where did Cain and Abel get wives from? And although I have often asked that question to people that profess to know the bible from every aspect. Can never answer that question. and also will I find the answer in this bible study. Good morning Marigee, shalom, Welcome to the Forum. First of all, you can just type in the "search" box on the upper right of this page, adam, eve, cain, able wives and you will get lots of posts to choose from to read. The main answer that you will get tho is that the boys married the girls of Adam and Eve, and this continued until the earth was nicely populated. There could be no other way. God "created" only the one man, and then made/created one woman from him Gen. 1:26-29 and 2:7, 21-25. As you read the Bible, it's easy to forget that it is not just a history of a people. From Genesis to Revelation, it's the Gospel of our Messiah, the Good News that God loves us. Not everything is addressed. It's a journey from the beginning of life to the Son of God to the end of life as we know it now. It's the story of our Savior, and our redemption. Cheri |

Shalom Cheri, Boker tov. That was a very nice portrait (synopsis?) of the Bible that you painted in your post. (o: Good answer! There is one aspect of the Bible that you seem to miss, Salvation. (-although, you did mention 'Good News') This actually comes to me from an old Jewish (Christian Pastor) friend. His viewpoint is that the: Bible begins with man in fellowship with God in paradise (the garden of Eden). The Bible ends with maps. (no, just kidding (o; The Bible ends with man and God in fellowship once again, in Paradise. Everything that makes up all the pages in between the first chapter and the last chapter is the story of God's perfect plan for the salvation of mankind, the epitome of His creation. This does not make your answer any clearer, but I just wanted to share because I thought it was well put. Shalom all, keliy |

Thanks Kelly for your input, your right on the answer not really being clearer, but the very plan for salvation and mankind, What was, What is and what will be again is still ahead. I appreciate your comment on my thought being well put, because I was hoping not to sound like a dummy. but In all the times that I have ever wondered or asked, no one has ever touched on the subject. not sure if they had the same thoughts or just didn't care to wonder. God Bless you, Shalom. Marigee |
