1 | Why did Adam grow old? | Gen 1:27 | Searcher56 | 101059
Adam would have grown old ... he was aging, since man is noted by time. Growing old and dying are not the same ... look at Enoch and Elijah. Neither died, yet each aged. Both did sin. Eating of the Tree of Life would of meant he would not of died, even after eating of the Tree of K and E. |

2 | Why did Adam grow old? | Gen 1:27 | Ken hepting | 101299
[Adam would have grown old ... he was aging, since man is noted by time.] I agree with you, though I didn't see it that way until recently.[I really didn't think anout it much] But having seen that in that light supports my belief that Adam was intended to be our role model, reaching a point in time when God would have transfigured him. I know that raises another question, "what about Christ". I can believe Adam would have been the "Word" made flesh. Your thoughts? |
