2 | why did God harden Pharaoh's heart? | Exodus | carolisblessed | 225905
The answer to your question is in the same verse your asking it from. God wanted Pharaoh to know He is God and He's incontrol of everything not Pharaoh. vs.4 ...that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD... Exodus 7:3 And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt. 4 But Pharoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments. The children of Israel was God's chosen people Gen. 12:1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. |

3 | how does god want us to treat pagans? | Luke 6:32 | carolisblessed | 225898
God want's us to do what the bible teaches us to do. Love! We don't have to hang with or agree with everybody but love them. Rom. 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God, even us. There are those who kill by their words and actions and I feel they are worse then pagans known to worship fulse gods. They were known for what they did. 1 Pet. 4:3 and tax collectors Rom. 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God. as far as Tax Collectors the bible says in Matt22:21 They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's. |

4 | please help me find this verse in psalms | 1 Cor 13:4 | carolisblessed | 222506
Hi nektr, I looked for this verse for a few day's but I can't find it. I know this is not the verse but looking at the example given I like to go with these verses to help who ever needs it. 1Cor.13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. |

5 | allow God to place bit in my mouth | James 3:3 | carolisblessed | 222504
Hi EMOODY First we have to want God to 1Sam.12:24 Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you. Reading further down in this Chapter tells us "the tongue can no man tame." This is why Jesus sent us the comforter James 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. 7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: 8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. John 14:26 But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Matt.12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Heb.13:7 Remember them which have the RULE OVER you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. 17 Obey them that have the RULE OVER you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. |

7 | Can God change our heart? | Ps 51:10 | carolisblessed | 222481
Yes, your verse gives the answer. but first we have to want him too. Rom.12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. I was evil spoken, but sence God came into my life my heart has been changed. Now I tend to cry over the littlest matters. God did that, because of my sinful nature I couldn't . |

8 | Revival of Holiness | Ps 51:10 | carolisblessed | 222480
Hi Shalom, Because there's not just a plain answer to your question I hope I can shine some light. It is good for you to read and study up on this for yourself, hear are some scriptures, and just to get a better understanding of the praise song what are some of the words, how did it go? Ques. 1/ Yes revival can be applied to holiness revive(quicken) is keeping our spirit man renewed Psl 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. 11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. 12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Col 3:5-15 Mortify therefore your members ... Revive me’ read throughout Psalm 119:25;37;40;50;88;93;107;149;154;156;159 2 Cor.4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. Quest. 2/ Teaching on Holiness Priests and Levites are holy because they have been "sanctified" by consecration (Exodus 29:1; Leviticus 8:12,30). A Nazirite is holy because he has separated himself unto the Lord (Numbers 6:5). Above all, Israel, notwithstanding all its sins and shortcomings, is holy, as a nation separated from other nations for Divine purposes and uses (Exodus 19:6, There is a higher holiness that is spiritual. God calls man to a holiness resembling His own (Leviticus 19:2). God who, being Himself ethically holy, esteems justice, mercy and lowly piety more highly than sacrifice (Hosea 6:6; Micah 6:6-8). Saints" have a separation from the world and a consecration to God. Just as Israel under the old covenant was a chosen race, so the Christian church becomes a holy nation (1 Peter 2:9) 1 Pet.1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation |

11 | Knowledge of Messiah | John 3:1 | carolisblessed | 218977
John 1:30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me. 31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come BAPTIZING with water. 32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. 33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. 34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God. John1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not Acts 13:27-28 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him. And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain. Mark 8:27 And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am? 28 And they answered, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets. 29 And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ. John 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 13 | Should fornicators be leaders in church | Ps 111:1 | carolisblessed | 177889
God Bless You Bereaniam, Here are some scriptures I found concerning your question. I hope they help Matt 7:16 Ye shall know them by their FRUITS. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their FRUITS ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Matt 13:28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. I Cor. 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God I Cor. 6:13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. 14 And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. 15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. 16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. 17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's I Tim. 5:1 Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren; Titus 1:7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; NOT SELFWILLED, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; 8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; 9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. 10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: 11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. I agree with everyone, and feel this goes much deeper although we don't know the intire situation of the two stories given. It made me think of three things I came accross, one was seeing the movie Left Behind, how the pastor gave God's word every Sunday but didn't believe himself and his flock was raptured but he was left behind. And second, I also seen a simular situation of unmarried pregnant young women in our church. I also witnessed my pastor sit them down for a period of time. They could not operate in the church untill a time period after birth. Then they could usher, get back in the choir, give announcments. Not much else was allowed, condemnation and repentance needed to take place. And last, I attended a church that has a wonderful praise and worship team, some are born again and one is not, I have a glorious time giving God praise everytime I hear them, because my spirit connects with the words of song to God and I become filled. The spirit of God will reveal those things that are not of Him, and He will teach our pastor, leader,us how to deal with each situation, if we operate in God and not in self. God is not the author of confussion. Hope this helps, God bless you all, Carol |

14 | Can pastors retire? | Bible general Archive 3 | carolisblessed | 177664
Hi Azure I haven't found any scriptures that would support a pastor retireing. But I found some helps. You ask why do we have retired pastors nowadays? To much leaning on the flesh and not the word and spirit of God's guidance I would say Phil 2:25 Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. 26 For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick. 27 For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. 28 I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful. 29 Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation: 30 Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me. 1 Cor.3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's WORK shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. Gal 6:4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. II Tim 4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have fishished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. Hope this helps Carol |

15 | can couples stay interested w/out lustin | 1 Cor 10:12 | carolisblessed | 177104
Do you want a friend who is not your mate, if your married? Or a partner who’s not really your partner, a talking buddy, an acquaintance, a councilor, maybe someone you can talk to now and then, of the oppisite sex. Well I’ll tell you like this; it starts of innocent, small, not really meaning anything. A little talk, maybe serious talk at first, then a coffee outing, next maybe meet up at the gym, later a little snack followed by some more talk which turns into laughs, jokes, hugs, touches, and kisses, then before you knew it was coming, WHOOOPSSSY!! We think we know our flesh, or how strong we are in the spirit, but why put yourself in a MAYBE tempting spot. Psl. 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. 1Cor. 10: 12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. Matt. 5: 27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. James1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 1Cor. 7: 7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that. 8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I. 9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn. Hope this helps God Bless you, Carol |

16 | Should the Church tithe also? | Num 18:26 | carolisblessed | 176779
I've read someones answer on this topic before, and they expressed how churches are not under bondage anymore, that we are free, and that we should not be forced to tithe that it should be a free will offering. I havn't yet seen anything in the bible to support that. So I'll be obediant to the scriptures and to those who have rule over me(my Pastor) and he's a God fearing Leader who strongly goes by the scriptures. You asked the question does the bible say how to tithe, I found this scripture, Numbers 18: 21 And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the TENTH in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation. 26 Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, even a TENTH part of the tithe. Tithing in new testament - Matt. 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay TITHE of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Tithing in old testament - Malachi 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have ROBBED me. But ye say, Wherein have we ROBBED thee? In tithes and offerings. 9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have ROBBED me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Hope this helps, it helped me. Carol |

17 | animals going into the Ark unclean/!!!!! | Gen 7:2 | carolisblessed | 176713
I studied Gen. Chapters 7,8,9 and underlined the area's pertaining to this point and found just a few. I would have to go according to what the scriptues say in Gen.7:2-3;8-9 and Gen.8:20 Breaking it down I found. Clean beast take by seven, male and female. Then it says, beasts that are not clean by two, male and female.(take it for what it say's). Then 7:8-9 again breaking it down, clean beasts and beasts that are not clean... they went in two and two.. male and female. Now look at Gen.8:20 And Noah building an altar unto the Lord and took of every clean beast... and offered burnt offerings on the alter. You see the seven clean beast and fowls where taken for an offering unto the Lord, the unclean ones where not. Don't take away from the scriptures or add to the scriptures. Hope this helps Carol |

No there is nothing in the Bible that actually says "Don't smoke" but God doesn't want us to have a durty temple (body) and if your friend wants to get picky, let him know it's left up to his own conscience Titus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. 16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate 1Cor 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man DEFILE the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.Hope this helps Carol |
