Bible Question: can couples stay interested w/out lusting? |
Bible Answer: Do you want a friend who is not your mate, if your married? Or a partner who’s not really your partner, a talking buddy, an acquaintance, a councilor, maybe someone you can talk to now and then, of the oppisite sex. Well I’ll tell you like this; it starts of innocent, small, not really meaning anything. A little talk, maybe serious talk at first, then a coffee outing, next maybe meet up at the gym, later a little snack followed by some more talk which turns into laughs, jokes, hugs, touches, and kisses, then before you knew it was coming, WHOOOPSSSY!! We think we know our flesh, or how strong we are in the spirit, but why put yourself in a MAYBE tempting spot. Psl. 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. 1Cor. 10: 12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. Matt. 5: 27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. James1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 1Cor. 7: 7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that. 8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I. 9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn. Hope this helps God Bless you, Carol |
