Hello Corin, Maybe the solution to your problem isn't being answered exactly the way you want it to be answered! Do you believe the following? Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. CDBJ |

622 | HELP | Ps 46:1 | CDBJ | 174946
Hi Corin, The thing that really impresses God is what His Son did for you! If you want to do something for God the Bible tells you what it is. Don’t get on an “emotional jag” all that does is confuse the issue and God isn’t impressed with those that place feelings over knowledge. i.e tears and such; God wants us to grow in knowledge not emotions! There was a group of people that wanted to do something for God, they felt compelled to do something; look what Jesus told them to do. John 6:28-29 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? [29] Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. (Here is the most important question you will ever answer!) Have you come to the point yet in your life where you know for certain that you have eternal life guaranteed; is heaven a sure thing for you? Please be truthful with yourself and answer this, if you can, in your own words. ------------------- CDBJ |

623 | HELP me! dear JESUS! | Ps 46:1 | CDBJ | 175039
Greetings, After you put “all of your hope for eternal life” in the person and works of God’s Son Jesus, did you at some point in time, after that, respond to the following verses? Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. CDBJ |

625 | Salvation: Instantaneous, progressive? | Ps 68:19 | CDBJ | 28429
Hi Charis, my wife was studying in Mark today and ask me about a verse that triggered a thought; it is along the same lines as your question of salvation being progressive. I don't think salvation is progressive once it actually happens, but I think that maybe being born again or coming to the point of salvation might be. Paul and James speak of the word as that which can germinate a life, as it were, within us. Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. James 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. The word engrafted comes to us from the Koine Greek word Emphutos, em meaning in and phutos (a form of phuo) meaning to germinate or impregnate. Thus, for one to be born again they must be impregnated by God's Word. John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. Couple this with 1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. Now we have all heard and know these verses very well, but I wonder if anyone has ever considered that all living things have what is known as a gestation period; some are longer then others? It is the time between conception and birth. All of the functions of life are in place, but the actual birth hasn't taken place yet. There are numerous miscarriages in physical life, maybe by comparison that is what happens when someone hears the Word and gets excited for a while, then they return to their old ways: They didn't go full term to spiritual birth and received a new nature. They might show all the symptoms that a new believer has just before birth, but they turn back and are stillborn. Hebrews 6:4-6 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. Food for thought and I am sure it needs more research, CDBJ |

626 | What is the sign of the Davidic covenant | Ps 89:34 | CDBJ | 33714
The answer that I think you are looking for or the sign is the sun and the moon. David has prophetic as well as historic significance. When the kingdom of Israel had been firmly established, David yearned to build a suitable temple for the Lord. But David was not permitted to build that house. Instead, God spoke to David (2 Samuel 7:12-16) and promised to build David a house! That promise of a Davidic dynasty is understood in the Old Testament to have the force of a covenant: an unbreakable promise or commitment made by God. David was promised that after his death, a descendant of his would be established as ruler of a kingdom to be set up in God's name. God said, “I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever” (2 Samuel 7:13). David's line was promised the perpetual right to Israel's throne. Even though David's immediate descendant Solomon sinned in such terrible ways that he deserved to be set aside, the kings of Judah were always from the Davidic line. Because of David's faith, God did not treat his descendants as He had treated Saul's. Sin would be punished, but David's line would never be completely cut off. God's promise to David is recognized in the Old Testament and the New Testament as an amplification of the ancient Abrahamic Covenant. The Davidic Covenant explains the means through which the earlier promises to Abraham will be fulfilled! As Psalm 89:3-4 expresses it: You said, "I have made a covenant with My chosen one, I have sworn to David My servant, "I will establish your line forever and make your throne firm through all generations' " And again this great prophetic psalm affirms the certainty of God's promise. I think the sign that you are looking for is in Psalm 89:34-37 Psalm 89:34-37 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. 35Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. 36His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me. 37It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah. |

634 | Confused! | Prov 3:6 | CDBJ | 197370
Greetings, You might want to consider the following with regards to the seed? Luke 8:4-15 And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable: 5A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. 6And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. 7And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. 8And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. 9And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be? 10And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. 11Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. 13They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. 14And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. 15But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience. 637 | Torah observance in the church?? | Prov 28:9 | CDBJ | 161969
Very interesting point Eliyahu, and welcome to the forum. Proverbs 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. This might be the reason. Romans 10:1-9 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. [2] For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. [3] For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. [4] For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. [5] For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. [6] But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) [7] Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) [8] But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. I believe the previous verses, linked with the following is the answer to your question. Galatians 2:16-21 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. [17] But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. [18] For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. [19] For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. [20] I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. [21] I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. Hebrews 1:1-3 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, [2] Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; [3] Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Have a great day and enjoy the forum, CDBJ |

638 | Agreed, but on that note.... | Prov 28:9 | CDBJ | 162005
I think that a lot of times people get the word churches confused with the word church. There are millions that belong to a local assembly, which is nothing more that an organization and they use the generalized term Christian. The “true church” is not an organization, but a living organism, and its members make up the body, and Christ is the head. Just because someone might be a member of a church doesn’t mean that they are a member of the true Church that Christ Jesus is building. Matthew 16:18 (B) I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. It’s only the members of the actual body of Christ that have laws of God written on their heart. The biggest difference is that the members of “The Church” actually have The Spirit of God dwelling within them. John 14:16-18 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; [17] Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. [18] I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. God doesn’t reside in a local building that we may call a church or a synagogue. 1 Cor. 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? The best advice that I could give anyone is to get their eyes off of people and their churches and fix your eyes on Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus the Christ. John 4:21-26 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. [22] Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. [23] But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. [24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. [25] The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. [26] Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he. Here are the verses of Scripture that are the most precious to me! 1 John 5:10-13 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. [11] And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. [13] These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. Isn’t God just more then super fantastic and to think what He did for us in the person of His Son Yeshua! Have a great day, CDBJ |
