501 | equal with God by nature | John 5:18 | CDBJ | 167986
Hi Tena and welcome to the forum. By comparing certain verses of scripture, in the Bible, with other verses, it paints a real vivid picture of who Jesus is. All will stand before God for judgment. Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: The Bible shows us who this judge will be. John 5:21-22 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. [22] For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: Thomas was speaking to Jesus, John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus created the very earth that he walked on. Col. 1:14-22 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Couple that verse with the following verse. Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. Did you notice the God purchased it with his “own Blood”? He became a human to do that and His human name was Jesus. Col. 1:15 [Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: [16] For by him were all things created, “The him is Jesus”, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: [17] And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. [18] And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. [19] For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; [20] And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. [21] And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled: [22] In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: Jesus is the answer to what is referred to as the mystery of eternal life. John 1:11-12 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. [12] But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 10:27-30 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: [28] And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. [29] My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. [30] I and my Father are one. 1 John 5:10-13 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. [11] And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. [13] These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. Worship and praise God the Son and Live! CDBJ |

Hi Nightjay, The Bible uses many figures of speech and they have to be treated as such and, “I think you’re making a mountain out of a mole hill”. We do the same thing don’t we, case and point. The Book of Revelation is loaded with figures of speech. Similes, Metaphors, Idioms, Metonymy, Parallelisms Have a great day, CDBJ |

Hello Dayofori and welcome to the forum, We generally just answer biblical questions on the forum. There are billions of people in this world and to know what and how they relate to the Bible isn’t the object. How do you personally relate to the person of Jesus the Christ, with regards to the next verse, and what is your understanding of the word “believe” as it is used? John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Have a great day, CDBJ |

If you are going to convince us why don’t you provide the Scriptures to backs up your suggestions instead of asking us to do it? Ask your pastor to prove what he is say with the chapter and verse. 2 Tim. 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, Have a nice day, CDBJ |

The Bible doesn't say you need it. It is something that is done for all believers automatically; it's not experienced but God says that it is accomplished for us at the point of salvation or faith in Christ. Speaking of Jesus; Ephes. 1:13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, CDBJ |

Hi Md1234, you have my curiosity up. Are you of the opinion that if the King James Version was good enough for the Apostle Paul, it should be good enough for us? 514 | Did the day or night weigh less? | Gen 1:5 | CDBJ | 166492
Greetings dawntarver. The Bible doesn’t make mention of either one. I personally don’t think it’s pertinent in a Bible study. But here is something that works for my own personal satisfaction. You can try this on your own and it OK to do it at home. Take the width of the mass of dark times the height squared, divided that sum by the speed of dark; adding this to the cube root of the speed of light. This should result in a factor of 3.08673 that can be used to calculate the dispersion rate of dark from the onset of a suggested 1,000,000 lumens of light, but this only works with a number base of ten and in zero gravity. Now if you want to figure it at a constant atmospheric pressure at sea level, which is 14.7 inches of mercury and a mean temperature of 92.2 you will have to change your number base and find the differential of light refractions that are in operation on any given day; this is due to pollutants and the absorption rate particulate matter. The moisture content of the air usually changes faster then I can work the problem where I live so I decided to walk to work instead of taking my lunch. Have fun, CDBJ |

515 | but that no one is justified by the law | NT general Archive 1 | CDBJ | 166407
Greetings Mseed, I hope you enjoy the forum. Your question, at least to me, is a little abstruse; could you please be a bit more specific then maybe I or someone else could shed some light on the topic? I think I have an idea what you mean but I would like to be certain before I suggest Scripture that would cover your request. Have a nice day, CDBJ |

516 | What does "reward in heaven" mean? | NT general Archive 1 | CDBJ | 166405
Hello Mary and welcome to the forum, I can’t figure out why anyone would want an award that will only last for a nanosecond in time compared to eternity. 1 Cor. 3:11-14 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. [12] Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; [13] Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. [14] If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 2 Cor. 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 1 Thes. 2:19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? 2 Tim. 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. 1 Peter 5:4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. Here is one you can have while still in this life. Matthew 6:2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. Matthew 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. Matthew 6:16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. More importantly may I ask, are you absolutely sure that you are going to heaven, and why? Have a nice day, CDBJ |
