602 | salvation for unbelievers? | Rom 1:20 | skccab | 212489
Hank, Gosh, I stand among some fine company!! I agree wholeheartedly with peterson, WOS, justme and Gye (and all the others who thank God daily for you). We are sooooo blessed to have a such a brother as you. John, the Beloved Disciple, referred to such as you in 1 Jn. 2:13a, and 2:14a as "fathers". How very blessed we "young men" and "little children" are to be able to call you brother, and, spiritually, sit at your feet, learn from your wisdom and hear your heart. Cheri |

603 | do unbelievers go to Heaven? | Rom 1:20 | skccab | 212698
Thuggish, For such an authoritive answer as "Of course they go to heaven!" we sure do need Bible book, chapter, and verse to back up your statement, please. I've read the Bible through many times - but somehow I missed that one. Thanking you in advance. Cheri |

604 | Thank you to all | Rom 5:3 | skccab | 208905
Shalom sister, Thank you soooo much. Without my brothers and sisters, well, I just don't want to think about what it would have been like!! I've never been sick like that before. But I've found out it's gonna take more 'n' the devil's mischievious chuckle to get this King's kid down :-) We all got a great big Family right here on SBF that knows how to LOVE and PRAY!! I really did perceive the prayers and love. Thank you, Azure, and everyone. Cheri |

605 | Romans 5:6-8 how it shows Gods love | Rom 5:6 | skccab | 194141
Dear Canawedding, The poster I responded to asked a simple question about God's love. I gave him a simple answer, not a long discourse meant to confuse. He did not ask about getting saved, or any of the things you presumed he needed to know. Had he asked, I could certainly have answered. It is not our job here on the forum to make assumptions about people and their standing with God, unless it's to believe that they ARE born again and found their way here to learn more about Yeshua. (And if the poster was not born-again, he definitely found his way to the right place! The ones who've been a part of this forum for many months and years are so full of love and joy - they'd certainly make me want to be a part of their family, the family of God!) Shabbat shalom Cheri |

606 | Romans 5:6-8 how it shows Gods love | Rom 5:6 | skccab | 194168
Canawedding Lionheart gave you a very good answer. I have not answered your question, because I was corresponding with someone else when you took it upon yourself to decide I needed chiding and "salvation" and I don't appreciate being talked down to. I have been born-again probably longer than you've been alive, but my salvation is between me and Abba. It is not your concern, so please don't be distressed over it. God's love is totally unconditional. He'll love you and rejoice as you obey Him and He'll love you and grieve as you make your way to hell. But He'll love you. If that's not true then apparently we've all been deceived into believing that He sent His Son to die for us while we were yet sinners (for we sure were not "seeking" to find anything at that point). Please, do you utmost to restore peace to this forum. It would be much appreciated. Remember Who your Sar Shalom is Cheri |

Canawedding I am not against "you" either, but I am against being talked down to and having you talk down to my friends, and your making assumptions about any of us. The folks who are "regulars" here on this forum could possibly teach you more in 1hr than you've learned in a lifetime. We all may not always agree on all points of theology and doctrine but we ALWAYS agree on one thing - Yeshua is our Savior and we are family. And family members that are mature treat each other with respect. The people here are born-again, Spirit-filled, joyful servants of our Master. I can hear their joy in their words. I don't hear that in your words. I actually hear anger and that's sad. I am praying for you. Neither Hank nor I have done anything to warrant your attack on us. Please, before you respond, pray about it. Shalom Cheri |

Oh dear, Azure, Now you are on Anne's hit list!! You know we might do much better if we could read those extra 2 chapters she seems to be privy to in Romans (it seems she has been reading chapters 17 and 18)! :-) Cheri |

Shalom Michael T, You are replying to a post from 2001 by someone who hasn't posted here since 10/2003, you may not get a response. To see when something was originally posted, look to the right of the title, you'll see the screen name of the poster and then the date and time of the post. If you click on the screen name you can see when the person last posted on the Forum (that will give you a good indication of whether or not you'll get a reply). :-) Cheri |

613 | Two Natures or One? | Rom 6:6 | skccab | 209926
Shalom and greetings Tim, I have thoroughly enjoyed your posts. In a way, I agree with both you and is it Steve mostly responding to you. I look at "sin" as the disease we inherited from Adam and "sins" its symptoms. Like you can be over the flu but for weeks have some flu-like symtoms hanging on. You're no longer sick but the coughing and weakness is still there reminding you of a few weeks ago when flu ruled. Sins are the tell-tale signs of once being sold under sin. We are now new creations, but once in awhile sins (not "sin") pop its ugly head up and we can CHOOSE to do or not to do the thing. Sadly, the tell-tale symptoms of sin lasts far longer than flu hangers-on!! :-( Anyway, just my opinion :-) Cheri |

614 | Two Natures or One? | Rom 6:6 | skccab | 209979
Val, shalom, I agree wholeheartedly with what you are saying - we can only go by what someone else has told us - but I also think that we can see (little) outward signs of another's salvation, especially if that person is someone we have known for a long time, because the Spirit of God does change people. You think? So if someone is stealing from another and claims they are saved, I'd have to admit that I would really question that statement (or just not showing the fruit of the Spirit, etc.). :-) Cheri |

615 | Two Natures or One? | Rom 6:6 | skccab | 209989
Shalom Newwine, If baptism is an integral part of salvation (that is, required for salvation) then you are, for all purposes, saying that the Apostle Paul short-changed almost all of the people who heard him preach the gospel because he only baptised 3 people and the household of one of those 3. In short, for all the good writing that Paul did, for a man called to bring the Gentiles to Messiah, he did a sad job, just 3 people and 1 household. Paul states, himself, that he was not called to baptise, only to preach the gospel. He's called to do half of a job? Can you explain that? See 1 Cor. 1:11-18 paying very close attention to verse 18 and also check out 1 Cor. 4:15 - in context is Paul saying these readers have been saved or not? Cheri |

617 | Who is the Wretched Man? | Rom 7:24 | skccab | 209925
Shalom Steve, Thought I'd jump in here and give you a link if you need it, for Hebrew of the Hebrew scriptures and Greek for the Newer Testament http://www.scripture4all.org I haven't been able to figure out how to completely use this software, though. And it's literal translation differs a bit from Tim's and it's Hebrew differs a bit from the sefer scrolls (and I'll trust the scrolls first). But you might find it useful :-) Cheri |

Shalom Steve, OK, maybe you were right in your first impression and it's not so much that I don't know how to use it. I only know bits and pieces of Hebrew, but just looking at the Hebrew proper in it against the Artscroll or Stone Hebrew Bible text - it's a little bit different. So I don't really use it much. But you're welcome even tho you don't need it. I would think an interlinear text would be better? Cheri |

Shalom meta, And shalom means more than just "peace," it means completeness, wholeness, nothing lacking. I pray God's shalom for you. You have come upon a wonderful place to converse God's Word with other people. There are numerous "regulars" here and what's so wonderful about them is that they are truely people who have given the Lord of their time and efforts and they have much to share with the rest of us. There are all kinds of different personalities, but each and everyone of them has the Mind of Messiah working strongly in them. I've learned and most will agree with me that when you come to the door to enter in here, you need to hang your ego and pride outside the door. Here we are all one, equal. Everyone has something to share and everyone has much to learn. Stay around and study the Word with us, Please!! Cheri |
