421 | Careful Bible Study -- Not Mysticism | Jer 23:16 | skccab | 206931
Dear Quvmoh It was 2 little words that got you into trouble. So What? 'So what is this saying to you, to me'...would have taken the rudeness out of the question; would have been a bonefide question. 'So What?' is something asked by an insolent disobedient disrespectful child. (And I'm sure that child would have faced severe rebuke from his/her parents!) That is why everyone is so upset. Doc did not deserve that response from you or anyone else. Cheri |

422 | Where is passage "I know the plans I hav | Jer 29:11 | skccab | 194486
Shabbat Shalom Rolland, God bless you for your request. This is going to be fun! Let's start with my very all-time favorite: Phil. 4:4-7 4) Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! 5) Let your gentle spirit be known to all men The Lord is near. 6) Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7) And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Messiah Yeshua. Shalom Cheri |

423 | Where is passage "I know the plans I hav | Jer 29:11 | skccab | 194586
Shalom Rolland, I thought I would be able to get back to you at the time with a few more, but was at work and got unexpectedly busier than normal. Here's another one: Romans 8:37-39 37) But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38) For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39) nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of Adonai, which is in Messiah Yeshua, our Lord. 424 | Where is passage "I know the plans I hav | Jer 29:11 | skccab | 194587
Rolland, but let us not forget dear John! 1 John 2:27-3:3 27) As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaces you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him. 28) Now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming. 29) If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone also who practices righteousness is born of Him. 1) See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 2) Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. 3) And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. Shalom Cheri |

425 | New covnant w/ Isrl or proph on Christ? | Jer 31:22 | skccab | 197009
Shalom sister Azure, I haven't read the complete thread so I may be just repeating someone else, or I may not have your question understood completely. But I think one of your questions was about the word "compass"ing a woman from Jer. 31:22. I don't know if this will help or not but I use the Complete Jewish Bible which uses the Jewish English translation of the Old Testament, so here is how it reads from that version: Jer. 31:21 Set up road signs, erect guideposts, pay attention the to highway, the path on which you traveled. Come back, virgin Isra'el, come back to these cities of yours! Jer. 31:22 How long will you hesitate you unruly daughter? For Adonai has created something new on earth: a woman with the strengths of a man. Jer. 31:23 Here is what Adonai Tzva'ot, the God of Isra'el, says: "This expression will be used again in the land of Y'hudah and its cities after I have returned their exiles: 'May Adonai bless you, home of justice, holy mountain!' Sounds like Zion is being spoken about. If I got lost in the thought of the thread, just ignore me :-) Cheri |

426 | verse on sabbatical year | Jer 34:8 | skccab | 197457
Good day to you, Azure, I didn't think 29:10 was going to be the verse, but it was the only one I could think of besides the ones in chapter 34. That would be interesting to know. Maybe one of the others more knowledgeable can help :-)? Cheri |

428 | what does the verse mean? | Ezek 47:5 | skccab | 186141
Hi Mark, I take it that way as well, but the original person wanted to know the term "unleashed". So, as well as it being a literal building and river, I think there also is a symbolic meaning as well. The passage speaks first of Ezekiel wading, then treading, and then swimming. Blessings Cheri |

429 | what does the verse mean? | Ezek 47:5 | skccab | 186155
Blessings, Mark Thank you for your gracious reply. I told mrodri to look forward to other responses from people who know the Word a whole lot more than me. That was just my take on the passage as a whole and his/her question. I look forward to the others responses too. You guys are most helpful. (I'm sure you know the ones I'm referring to. I've been on the forum for about a week now and yours and their names just keep popping up. I've really enjoyed the dialogue and have grown thereby.) Thank you Cheri |

432 | daniel 11:37 translation differences | Dan 11:37 | skccab | 197961
Bible Beleiver, Sorry for the misunderstanding. The differences, tho in this instance minor, is scary. The implications... Did the discrepancies take place in the text proper, or in study notes? Cheri |

433 | Tribulation---7 years long? | Dan 12:11 | skccab | 186880
I've always thought they would be Elijah and Enoch - reason? The Bible says it is appointed to man to die once - these two were caught away from earth alive, they never died. And the only thing we know for sure about the 2 is that they are live, marked by God and appointed by God to preach for a certain length of time And then they will be killed, left alone dead and then raised from the dead and caught away again. But my idea of them being Elijah and Enoch is definitely in the minority, most do think Elijah and Moses, cause of the Transfiguration. blessings cheri |

438 | Where - "cities without walls" prophecy? | Zech 2:4 | skccab | 201647
Shalom, I'm out the door for work this instant but I'm thinking maybe you're looking for the blessings Jacob gave the 12 at the end of Genesis? In particular to Ephraim and Manesseh? I'm not sure, just thinking because Ephraim did become the largest of the tribes, I believe. I'll look further once at work. :-) Cheri |

Dearest Hank, Well God has done it again!! Used you and your reply to someone else on something totally off the wall from where I was at to speak to me regarding where I'm at. Shalom Yes, Levites paid tithes of their gifts to the Lord (1/10 of their 1/10) and it went to the priests. See Num. chapter 18, specifically verses 21 - 32. Cheri |
