541 | Are there animals in heaven? | Gen 2:7 | CDBJ | 82802
Hank that was beautiful, you came through again, where do you find this stuff. I thought it was bad when someone said that Isaiah had a horse named Isme. When I ask them where they got that idea they said that Isaiah said in the Bible, woe is me; I think you just topped it! CDBJ |

Between you and Hank a fellow doesn’t have a chance! Like the guy that wasn’t paying attention in church one day and ask the fellow next to him, “Did the pastor say that bears name was Gladly”; the guy looked at him and ask, “What are you talking about? The fellow then said, “ I don’t know but I thought I heard the pastor say Gladly the cross-eyed bear. CDBJ |

543 | SOUL AND SPIRIT | Gen 2:7 | CDBJ | 176922
Hello, it’s nice to see new posters on the forum, It takes a while to learn how to negotiate the forum. If you will look on the far right side of the one you just posted too you will see that the posting that you answered is over five years old. Did you really mean to say Luke 16:22 instead of 12:22? Where does it suggest that the olfactory sense or the sense of smell was in operation? In Genesis 2:7, didn’t God actually breath into mans body and he became a living soul? You’re doing just fine keep on posting; the only ones that don't make any mistakes on this forum are the ones that don’t post! Have fun, CDBJ |

544 | The fruit and leaves of the tree of life | Gen 2:9 | CDBJ | 184454
Hello jonp, I would assume, from your answer that you aren’t a proponent of the 1000 year earthly “physical reign” of Christ or what most call, “the millennium reign of Christ”? Am I assessing your response correctly, since you completely neglected the general thesis of my question, the tree of life and its recipients, and your suggestion to concentrate on soteriology that you reject all prophecy with regards to eschatology or are there certain part that you prefer to allegorize? Have a great day, CDBJ |

545 | The fruit and leaves of the tree of life | Gen 2:9 | CDBJ | 184478
Hi jonp, I don't agree with your synopsis, since you don’t believe in the literal return of the Lord Jesus Christ and the setting set up of His kingdom on earth, i.e. “The Millennial Reign of Christ”. I doubt if the forum could contain your opinions of the book of Revelation that is if you even consider it as being inspired? You have posted messages that would lead one to understand that you do believe in Christ Jesus and that’s great! 2 Tim. 2:15 (NASB) Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth. 546 | The fruit and leaves of the tree of life | Gen 2:9 | CDBJ | 184549
Hello jonp, Thank you for explaining what Americans believe. Surprising as it may seem, as you have ended all of your informative post, most of the believers that I know are relying on Bible doctrine and God’s promises not someone’s wishes, even if one assume them as the best. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Now as for the gospel message, I wasn’t even a wear that it encompassed more then soteriology but then I’m still growing, as it were. Are you suggesting that Paul might have left something out of the following; I thought this was the gospel message? 1 Cor. 15:1-8 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 5And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 6After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. 7After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. 8And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. You certainly sound very proud of that long line of saints that you’re standing in? That’s strange to me because most of the saints I know are resting in the Lord and not depending on them selves or standing in some kind of a line but then I’m not exactly sure what is going on thousands of miles away across the pond; thanks for the heads up. 547 | chapter 2genesis | Gen 2:10 | CDBJ | 140101
Hello greentwiga, Did the “scientists” come up with this idea, “That the Garden of Eden was in Turkey”, before or after they tried to convince everyone of evolution? I personally would have been more impressed if it was a Biblicists that figured it out, but apart from that; how did they come to this conclusion, which I realize would be extra biblical? CDBJ |

Greetings Greentwiga, Are we to concur that you are writing a book with conclusive evidence of your finding and that all of the other biblical historians are way off base, with their erroneous calculations? Seeing that you are outnumbered by the biblicist that hold to the view that the Garden of Eden was located somewhere in Mesopotamia, or what today is known today as Iraq; what are the chances or odds that you are wrong? Every biblical scientist has given the odds of their calculation and they are more then anxious to reiterate their exact calculations to verify their hypothesis: please give more details, this could be interesting! Have a nice day, CDBJ |

549 | baptism | Gen 2:21 | CDBJ | 236061
Greetings and welcome to the forum. You suggested this in your post note the following. “if it a lines with GOD'S word is what counts when these commissions were wrote Christ had not ascended back to the Father yet and again it is not what we say it is what GOD'S WORD SAYS.” Everything that is available from historical records show that the earliest writings of the New Testament didn’t come about until in the late forties. Where did you see the information suggesting that it was in existence while Christ was still here on earth? CDBJ |

550 | baptism | Gen 2:21 | CDBJ | 236068
Friend, I think you have completely missed what I have tried to convey to you but then maybe I’m mixed up, you tell me! I’ll try again: In your post you stated this; (when these commissions were wrote Christ had not ascended back to the Father yet) I surmise that you meant written instead of wrote which we could say penned, for sake of clarity, when the writer produced his literary work. The problem is, there wasn’t any written form of the New Testament in any form until, and this is debated, the writings of Paul or James and that was from somewhere between 45 A.D. and 55 A.D. Most everyone knows that Matthew, Mark, Luke and John weren’t the first books written in the New Testament; that’s just how man placed them in the file of books that we call the Bible. Jesus had been seated along side the Father at His right hand for many, many years before we had any script of the New Testament. If that was not the case how could Paul have seen Jesus while on the road to Damascus when Paul became a believer, seeing that his writings were those of the earliest? Your material isn’t in question; it’s your time frame that has to be off as to when the earliest books of the New Testament were written. I hope you see what I’m trying to explain, no harm intended! Have a great day, CDBJ |

551 | Again, was Adam there? | Gen 3:6 | CDBJ | 27977
Greetings Robert, there are quit a few on this forum that I don't feel a kindred spirit with but by reading your comments I can feel the presents of the Lord in what you say. I read you personal profile and it matches my own to a degree. My wife and I were about 29 years with out a home church. I studied under a pastor teacher from Huston Texas. He communicates through Hebrew and Greek using what he calls the ICE principal of teaching, isagogics, categorical, and exegesis. In your post you mentioned how Christ withstood death on the cross for us. All we can say, as the song goes is, Hallelujah what a Savior! It is interesting to note, and especially today, that the basis of what we believe compared to the religions of the world, is summed up in what Jesus said in John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. This statement isn't really understood by a lot of so-called believers. This always comes to my attention around Christmas time. God, loving the human race as much as he does, cannot jeopardize His perfect Holiness by just excusing sin. His perfect justice say that sin must be punished and that this punishment is separation from Him; man sinned so man would have to pay the price for sin. God decided in eternity past just exactly what He would do to resolve the problem. Every man born into the human race came from the seed of Adam, thus having Adams old sin nature. There has never been a man on the face of the earth that could be an innocent sacrifice for the human race. That is where God decided to take on the form of a man and pay the price that He, God demanded for the sin of the world. He himself would pay the price once and for all, for all mankind. The only thing left for us to do is trust in God's gift to us, Himself, in the person of Jesus the sacrifice of God. I know that you understand this and believe it but I thought I would use this opportunity to say it to the rest on they forum. There are so many that get on the forum and lift up some denomination that they stand for, I just want to lift up Jesus and what God has done for all those that will commit the keeping of their souls to Him. Merry Christmas to all, and a thank you to God the Father for the most blessed gift that could ever be given, His precious Son JESUS. CDBJ |

552 | Would Adam and Eve have fallen? | Gen 3:13 | CDBJ | 186985
The more one experiments by digging a pit under a huge rock the more likely it is that the rock will fall on him at some point; maybe the next shovel full. I’ve found it’s not a good idea to try undermining a large rock without ample support for the rock first! Or better yet use the rock for the foundation instead of trying to put a new foundation under the rock. There aren’t many that are “willing” to jump in a pit and help stop a rock that’ obviously starting to fall; if you get my drift? Psalm 119:160 The sum of Thy word is truth, And every one of Thy righteous ordinances is everlasting. 2 Tim. 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth. 553 | Why did God reject Cain's offering | Gen 4:5 | CDBJ | 236299
Greetings, In reading Gen 8:21 the translations that I have don’t describe what you have inferred and there are about nine more that I haven’t listed here and they don’t suggest what you are saying either. You stated the following: “Offerings from the ground are perfectly acceptable. Gen. 8:21” Genesis 8:21 (KJV) 21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. Genesis 8:21 (NASB) 21 The LORD smelled the soothing aroma; and the LORD said to Himself, "I will never again curse the ground on account of man, for the intent of man's heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done. Genesis 8:21 (NIV) 21 The LORD smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: "Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done. Genesis 8:21 (ASV) 21 And Jehovah smelled the sweet savor; and Jehovah said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake, for that the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more everything living, as I have done. Genesis 8:21 (NKJV) 21 And the LORD smelled a soothing aroma. Then the LORD said in His heart, "I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, although the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done. How do you reconcile the fact that your statement is in direct discord with the following? Hebrews 9:22 (NKJV) 22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission. Genesis 8:21 (AMP) 21 When the Lord smelled the pleasing odor [a scent of satisfaction to His heart], the Lord said to Himself, I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the imagination (the strong desire) of man's heart is evil and wicked from his youth; neither will I ever again smite and destroy every living thing, as I have done. I.e. (No Veggies allowed!) What translation are you using? CDBJ |

How many books does your OKJV Bible have in it? If there are only sixty six then it isn’t of the oldest KJV. I examined an old KJV that had the books that are called the Deuterocanonical Books of the Bible. These are books which are included in some version of the canonical Bible, but which have been excluded at one time or another, for textual or doctrinal issues. These are 'Deuterocanonical', which literally means 'the secondary canon.' I’ve memorized numerous verses from the KJV but in fact the accuracy of this translation suffers from countless anachronisms due in part to the Elizabethan English. The KJV was also translated from the Textus Receptus Manuscript, which the better scholars have found to be inferior to other manuscripts that have been discovered since that period. CDBJ |

That’s very interesting, how often do you go into your closet to pray? Matthew 6:6 (KJV) 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. CDBJ |

556 | how long to build ark? | Gen 5:32 | CDBJ | 42352
Hi Norrie, I think that Noah had the help of his family and the time span, the way I see it, was 120 years. This was the time that God allotted mankind before the flood and that is the basis for my thoughts on the building time. Genesis 6:3 And the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years." 1 Peter 3:18-20 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, 19by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, 20who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. |

558 | How many yrs was promised to us to live? | Gen 6:3 | CDBJ | 116588
Genesis 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. I think this verse might be explaining that God is only going to let things continue on earth for another 120 years before He destroys mankind by the great flood because no flesh can survive the wrath that’s coming. 1 Peter 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. I think the Spirit striving in Gen. 6:3, corresponds with the longsuffering of God waiting, in 1 Pet. 3:20. There have been people, on record, who have lived past 120 years, which would be impossible if God was referring to an age limit in Gen. 6:3. My two cents worth, CDBJ |

Hello BibleVerse, You suggested that death for Adam and Eve was a slow process, “Adam and Eve deteriorated, grew old, and eventually died.” How long a process is suggested in the following verse? Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. That sounds pretty sudden to me when it says, in the day? The word “die” in the English is translated from the Hebrew word MUWTH, pronounced mooth; it is causative and as a result it says in effect, dying you shall surely die. Adam died spiritually the moment he disobeyed God, that day, and as a result of this separation from God he would someday face the separation of his soul from his body, physical death. The spirit of man, or the part that has fellowship with God, is inoperative from the time of physical birth. All men need to have a living spirit to understand the things of God. 1 Cor. 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. The natural man is one born from the seed of Adam and is therefore in need of another birth, that of his spirit. John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Someone quipped the following. Man has a choice, he can be born once and die twice, or be born twice and die once. The good news is that we can all have this new birth by trusting in the finished work of God’s Son, Jesus. John 20:30-31 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: [31] But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. 1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 1 John 5:10-13 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. [11] And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. [13] These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. Have a great day, CDBJ |

560 | Sons of God cannot be angels in Gen 6:4 | Gen 6:4 | CDBJ | 27771
Where do you find humans that were sons of God before Jesus? He was the first (human) to ever become a son of God, in so doing He became The Son of God. God has only granted the privilege to human beings to become his sons since the incarnation of Christ, and this can only come about through faith in God uniquely born Son, Jesus. John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: The name of God's human Son through the hypostatic union wasn't available in Genesis. Therefore all of those mentioned as God's sons in the Old Testament had to be angelic in nature seeing that they are a direct action of God's creation, just as believers are a direct action of God's creative work with their new nature, thus making believers sons of God. 2 Cor. 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. The word creature comes to us from the word KTISIS, which means original formation, just like the angels. Marry Christmas to all that are new creatures in Christ, CDBJ |
