34061 | Creation of God, Baptism of Jesus Christ | Rev 1:8 | mun | 112993
I am weak in faith in Christianity. I would like to know something, If God created us, who created God? and they say that God was always there. But, something cannot be created from nothing. And: Why did Jesus have to be baptised? Jesus is one of the 3 Gods (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) I thought baptising was only for those that have sinned.. and clearly Jesus has never sinned. Thats why he can die for us human beings. But then I hear that human beings have sinned and Jesus was made a man. .. is this self explanatory?.. |

34065 | Does Jesus say he is God Almighty here.. | Rev 1:8 | seedling | 199827
I believe that Jesus is part of the trinity and is God. I'vve been searching the scriptures to find if Jesus did call himself God. The verse that comes close is John 10:30...I and My Father are one. This morning I ran across another verse, Revalation 1:8. Is Jesus talking in this verse? ..."I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." Is Jesus calling himself God by saying the Almighty? I think yes because it correlates to the verse Revelations 22:13. Does anyone think these verses also correlate with Isaiah 41:4. I do believe that God is talking in thhe Isaiah verse. Comments please. Thankyou!

34071 | Is The Whole Lord's Day Holy? | Rev 1:10 | Searcher56 | 82620
Do we really make the whole Lord's Day, His? Or do we only make the few hours at "His house" aka church His? Even then do we really make that time His? Or do we think about something else ... what we are going to do, haven't done? Are we at peace with Him and love Him ... as well as our neighbor? Or are we in our cliques, depising some and not seeing the stranger because of the mist? I ask these questions, because I sense we do not keep any day holy ... but, make it a holiday ... giving our Lord a little portion, at best. I challange each to make one day holy unto the Lord. 34073 | What is the "Lord's Day" | Rev 1:10 | Jim Estes | 206722
Revelation 1:10 "I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like the sound of a trumpet," I have often seen the interpretation of the "Lord's Day" in Rev. 1:10 as the first day of the week or Sunday. Is there scripture to support this? I ran a word search of "Lord's Day" and found only this verse in Rev. However, using "Day of the Lord" I found numerous scriptures which indicate the future events of Christ's return. Wouldn't John have been "in the Spirit" on this future date when he witnessed the revelation of these events? Thanks, Jim |

34074 | 7 Churches in Rev., which is yours like? | Rev 1:11 | Love Fountain | 36342
Rev 1:11 11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. KJV There are 7 types of Churches in Revelation. 1)Ephesus 2)Smyrna 3)Pergamum 4)Thyatira 5)Sardis 6)Philadelphia 7)Laodicea I believe these Churches existed in the day John wrote Revelation and I also believe these Churches spiritually represent Churches of today. Ever compare to see which Church in Revelation is like the Church you attend today? Which one would you say is like yours and why? Bless you, Love Fountain |

If Revelation was written after 90AD, why is the Temple still standing in Chapter 11. When it was already destroyed in 70AD. And since it was destroyed in 70AD why dosent John mention that catastrohic event that ended all of the Jewish Religion of that day. Love in Christ Jesus. RC
34080 | Glorious church? | Rev 1:11 | strts5 | 206114
Ephesians 3:7-11 ...to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things. 10His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, 11according to his eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. I was raised Pentacostal and remember the pastor talking about end times, and the enemy and to always be carefull or else... (use your imagination). I've also heard many preachers teaching doomsday and be on watch, because these other churches, etc... Are we really members of a weak, just barelly making it by church, or are we a glorious church known throught heaven that the enemy fears? Maybe I'm just on a tangent here. I visited a church last night, great worship, I always feel so buisy doing stuff at my church I can't just stop and enjoy. The sermon though, for some reason just jumped out at me like fingernails on a chalkboard. He was talking about how things are about to get get real difficult for the church and how many are going to fall away if we don't pray and do this and that, etc. I know there is truth to this in one aspect but also didn't Paul say , " many would fall away, if it were possible"? I don't know, but I am starting to feal we are much more united than many percieve, much more powerfull and glorious. Anyway, maybe I'm missing something, I would like to hear others thoughts on this. Are we weak and misserable or is it what God sais? In love, Mike |
