Bible Note: coavrl1 Then your question isn't, "Mountain of God...what is this talking about? Was this known as a place where God met people or people worshiped God or did Moses name it later?" But rather your question or post should say, "let us argue over where Mt Horeb is." Since the Bible does not give us a detailed location it could be anywhere in the area. If BASE is right and it is what is known today as Jabal al Lawz which is about 75 miles to the east so what? It really changes nothing in the Exodus account.
