Bible Question:
I sometimes listen to preachers preaching from the bible and i have more than once heard them say that ever since Adam and Eve, the People have been waiting for a savior or a messiah. And that Eve was hoping to have that son who was supposed to be that savior. Where in the bible does it say that ? All i can find is that she was happy that she had a son and that it was with the lords help. |
Bible Answer: I have never found anything that said Eve hoped to be the mother of Christ. I think when people say, every since Adam, people have been waiting for a saviour - they just mean that people have always been waiting for their savior - not literally that Adam and Eve were waiting. People waited for a Messiah a long time. I don't think that "messiah" is mentioned until Daniel. Often savior was used for God - to come save them from some thing or situation. OK - Did I get off track here? |
