Personal profile for user screen name: lor1960 8-15-2008 I am new to the fourm and so thrilled to have found it! I came to understand what Jesus did for me when he died on the cross to pay for my sin, about 30 years ago. All my life I have been an asker of questions. I find myself pondering many things I read in the Bible. What a great place to "throw out my ponderings" and see what others think on the subject. I am a public high school teacher, and a lay speaker. Working with my students I am always trying to find ways to make what I am teaching relevant to my students lives. When I prepare a sermon or presentation I try to make the point with visual images, or as concrete as I can for my audience, to help them see the human-ness of Jesus.Colossians 4:2-6 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
