Personal profile for user screen name: corrective I plan to be OFFLINE till maybe November 18, 2008. Sorry!Filling out my Personal Profile, by request: When I was about 18, I believed, and the Spirit fell on me. I prayed about what Bible to read, and started reading it. Realizing that it said to call no one on Earth your "teacher", I would read, praying that He would teach me. And I believed He did. Early on, I had an Exhaustive concordance, through which I believed He showed me more-correct translations of certain passages. I attended a fairly-conservative assembly that taught out of the Bible, passage by passage. I was baptized in water (Romans 6:4; 1 Corinthians 15:4a; 1 Peter 3:21). Over the years, I studied various topics, including the doctrine of Deity; Charismatic gifts in 1 Corinthians 12-14, etc.; Baptism and Baptisms (plural); some about dating/marriage; a bit about Apologetics (explanation/defense of the Faith/the Bible); "orthodoxy"; The Name of YHWH (some write YHVH), the Tetragrammaton, which I believe is the Name of the Father (Ex. 3:15; Matt. 28:19; Jn. 10:25; 1 Jn. 2:6; Jn. 17:6, 11-12, 26; etc.). Prior to age 18, my parents put me through 10 years of the Roman Catholic school system; but I left that a couple of years before I believed. (I had apparently been baptized as a child into the RCC.) I do not consider myself to be in an "office" of the Church, though I believe I have exercised various Charismata. I have known "backslidings", and would appreciate prayer for restoration, and healings. My beliefs have been in major transition since 2003. I have SEEN -- but NOT sought out -- the "demonic", and the paranormal. I plan to study more about the paranormal and supernatural, and would like to know safe people to openly discuss these with. I now believe that there is more going on behind the scenes of life than is revealed in most translations. Way more. While I have trusted that the Bible Canon is the Word of YHWH elohim, I believe that Scripture teaches that the Word is more than just the Bible. There are many doctrines one could study or even teach, but it says that the Gospel is "the Power of God to salvation", which I believe is defined in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4ff., and which is preached -- with its steps -- in Acts 2, along with "Whoever will call with the Name of YHWH will be delivered/saved/preserved". A pronouncing of the Name of the Father, YHWH, over another person, may be a baptism inTO that Name (Matt. 28:16-20). I have been a believer for several years. Agape, --corrective. ©2008.
