			2 Kin 25:24 Gedaliah^1436b swore⁷⁶⁵⁰ to them and their men³⁷⁶ and said⁵⁵⁹ to them, "Do not be afraid^3372a of the servants⁵⁶⁵⁰ of the Chaldeans³⁷⁷⁸; live³⁴²⁷ in the land⁷⁷⁶ and serve⁵⁶⁴⁷ the king⁴⁴²⁸ of Babylon⁸⁹⁴, and it will be well³¹⁹⁰ with you."

			Jer 40:9 Then Gedaliah^1436b the son¹¹²¹ of Ahikam²⁹⁶, the son¹¹²¹ of Shaphan^8227b, swore⁷⁶⁵⁰ to them and to their men³⁷⁶, saying⁵⁵⁹, "Do not be afraid^3372a of serving⁵⁶⁴⁷ the Chaldeans³⁷⁷⁸; stay³⁴²⁷ in the land⁷⁷⁶ and serve⁵⁶⁴⁷ the king⁴⁴²⁸ of Babylon⁸⁹⁴, that it may go³¹⁹⁰ well³¹⁹⁰ with you.

			Jer 40:14 and said⁵⁵⁹ to him, "Are you well³⁰⁴⁵ aware³⁰⁴⁵ that Baalis¹¹⁸⁵ the king⁴⁴²⁸ of the sons¹¹²¹ of Ammon⁵⁹⁸³ has sent⁷⁹⁷¹ Ishmael³⁴⁵⁸ the son¹¹²¹ of Nethaniah⁵⁴¹⁸ to take⁵²²¹ your life⁵³¹⁵?" But Gedaliah^1436b the son¹¹²¹ of Ahikam²⁹⁶ did not believe⁵³⁹ them.
			Jer 40:15 Then Johanan³⁰⁷⁶ the son¹¹²¹ of Kareah⁷¹⁴³ spoke⁵⁵⁹ secretly^5643a to Gedaliah^1436b in Mizpah⁴⁷⁰⁹, saying⁵⁵⁹, "Let me go¹⁹⁸⁰ and kill⁵²²¹ Ishmael³⁴⁵⁸ the son¹¹²¹ of Nethaniah⁵⁴¹⁸, and not a man³⁷⁶ will know³⁰⁴⁵! Why⁴¹⁰⁰ should he take⁵²²¹ your life⁵³¹⁵, so that all³⁶⁰⁵ the Jews³⁰⁶³ who are gathered⁶⁹⁰⁸ to you would be scattered^6327a and the remnant⁷⁶¹¹ of Judah³⁰⁶³ would perish⁶?"
			Jer 40:16 But Gedaliah^1436b the son¹¹²¹ of Ahikam²⁹⁶ said⁵⁵⁹ to Johanan³⁰⁷⁶ the son¹¹²¹ of Kareah⁷¹⁴³, "Do not do^6213a this²⁰⁸⁸ thing¹⁶⁹⁷, for you are telling¹⁶⁹⁶ a lie⁸²⁶⁷ about⁴¹³ Ishmael³⁴⁵⁸."
			Jer 41:1 In the seventh⁷⁶³⁷ month²³²⁰ Ishmael³⁴⁵⁸ the son¹¹²¹ of Nethaniah⁵⁴¹⁸, the son¹¹²¹ of Elishama⁴⁷⁶, of the royal⁴⁴¹⁰ family²²³³ and one of the chief^7227b officers^7227b of the king⁴⁴²⁸, along with ten⁶²³⁵ men³⁷⁶, came⁹³⁵ to Mizpah⁴⁷⁰⁹ to Gedaliah^1436b the son¹¹²¹ of Ahikam²⁹⁶. 			Jer 41:2 Ishmael³⁴⁵⁸ the son¹¹²¹ of Nethaniah⁵⁴¹⁸ and the ten⁶²³⁵ men³⁷⁶ who⁸³⁴ were with him arose⁶⁹⁶⁵ and struck⁵²²¹ down⁵²²¹ Gedaliah^1436b the son¹¹²¹ of Ahikam²⁹⁶, the son¹¹²¹ of Shaphan^8227b, with the sword²⁷¹⁹ and put⁴¹⁹¹ to death⁴¹⁹¹ the one whom⁸³⁴ the king⁴⁴²⁸ of Babylon⁸⁹⁴ had appointed⁶⁴⁸⁵ over the land⁷⁷⁶.
			Jer 41:3 Ishmael³⁴⁵⁸ also struck⁵²²¹ down⁵²²¹ all³⁶⁰⁵ the Jews³⁰⁶⁴ who⁸³⁴ were with him, that is with Gedaliah^1436b at Mizpah⁴⁷⁰⁹, and the Chaldeans³⁷⁷⁸ who⁸³⁴ were found⁴⁶⁷² there⁸⁰³³, the men³⁷⁶ of war⁴⁴²¹.
