			Num 22:5 So he sent⁷⁹⁷¹ messengers⁴³⁹⁷ to Balaam^1109a the son¹¹²¹ of Beor¹¹⁶⁰, at Pethor^6604a, which⁸³⁴ is near⁵⁹²¹ the River⁵¹⁰⁴, in the land⁷⁷⁶ of the sons¹¹²¹ of his people^5971a, to call⁷¹²¹ him, saying⁵⁵⁹, "Behold²⁰⁰⁹, a people^5971a came³³¹⁸ out of Egypt⁴⁷¹⁴; behold²⁰⁰⁹, they cover³⁶⁸⁰ the surface⁵⁸⁶⁹ of the land⁷⁷⁶, and they are living³⁴²⁷ opposite⁴⁴⁸⁰^,⁴¹³⁶ me.
			Num 22:7 ¶ So the elders²²⁰⁵ of Moab⁴¹²⁴ and the elders²²⁰⁵ of Midian⁴⁰⁸⁰ departed¹⁹⁸⁰ with the fees for divination⁷⁰⁸¹ in their hand³⁰²⁷; and they came⁹³⁵ to Balaam^1109a and repeated¹⁶⁹⁶ Balak's¹¹¹¹ words¹⁶⁹⁷ to him.
			Num 22:8 He said⁵⁵⁹ to them, "Spend^3885a the night³⁹¹⁵ here⁶³¹¹, and I will bring⁷⁷²⁵ word¹⁶⁹⁷ back⁷⁷²⁵ to you as the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ may speak¹⁶⁹⁶ to me." And the leaders⁸²⁶⁹ of Moab⁴¹²⁴ stayed³⁴²⁷ with Balaam^1109a.
			Num 22:9 Then God⁴³⁰ came⁹³⁵ to Balaam^1109a and said⁵⁵⁹, "Who⁴³¹⁰ are these⁴²⁸ men³⁷⁶ with you?"
			Num 22:10 Balaam^1109a said⁵⁵⁹ to God⁴³⁰, "Balak¹¹¹¹ the son¹¹²¹ of Zippor⁶⁸³⁴, king⁴⁴²⁸ of Moab⁴¹²⁴, has sent⁷⁹⁷¹ word to me,
			Num 22:12 God⁴³⁰ said⁵⁵⁹ to Balaam^1109a, "Do not go¹⁹⁸⁰ with them; you shall not curse⁷⁷⁹ the people^5971a, for they are blessed¹²⁸⁸."
			Num 22:13 So Balaam^1109a arose⁶⁹⁶⁵ in the morning¹²⁴² and said⁵⁵⁹ to Balak's¹¹¹¹ leaders⁸²⁶⁹, "Go¹⁹⁸⁰ back¹⁹⁸⁰ to your land⁷⁷⁶, for the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ has refused³⁹⁸⁵ to let⁵⁴¹⁴ me go¹⁹⁸⁰ with you."
			Num 22:14 The leaders⁸²⁶⁹ of Moab⁴¹²⁴ arose⁶⁹⁶⁵ and went¹⁹⁸⁰ to Balak¹¹¹¹ and said⁵⁵⁹, "Balaam^1109a refused³⁹⁸⁵ to come¹⁹⁸⁰ with us."
			Num 22:16 They came⁹³⁵ to Balaam^1109a and said⁵⁵⁹ to him, "Thus³⁵⁴¹ says⁵⁵⁹ Balak¹¹¹¹ the son¹¹²¹ of Zippor⁶⁸³⁴, 'Let nothing⁴⁰⁸, I beg⁴⁹⁹⁴ you, hinder⁴⁵¹³ you from coming¹⁹⁸⁰ to me;
			Num 22:18 Balaam^1109a replied^6030a to the servants⁵⁶⁵⁰ of Balak¹¹¹¹, "Though⁵¹⁸ Balak¹¹¹¹ were to give⁵⁴¹⁴ me his house¹⁰⁰⁴ full⁴³⁹³ of silver³⁷⁰¹ and gold²⁰⁹¹, I could³²⁰¹ not do^6213a anything, either small^6996a or¹⁷⁶ great¹⁴¹⁹, contrary^5674a to the command⁶³¹⁰ of the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ my God⁴³⁰.
			Num 22:20 God⁴³⁰ came⁹³⁵ to Balaam^1109a at night³⁹¹⁵ and said⁵⁵⁹ to him, "If⁵¹⁸ the men³⁷⁶ have come⁹³⁵ to call⁷¹²¹ you, rise⁶⁹⁶⁵ up and go¹⁹⁸⁰ with them; but only³⁸⁹ the word¹⁶⁹⁷ which⁸³⁴ I speak¹⁶⁹⁶ to you shall you do^6213a."
			Num 22:21 ¶ So Balaam^1109a arose⁶⁹⁶⁵ in the morning¹²⁴², and saddled²²⁸⁰ his donkey⁸⁶⁰ and went¹⁹⁸⁰ with the leaders⁸²⁶⁹ of Moab⁴¹²⁴.
			Num 22:23 When the donkey⁸⁶⁰ saw⁷²⁰⁰ the angel⁴³⁹⁷ of the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ standing⁵³²⁴ in the way¹⁸⁷⁰ with his drawn⁸⁰²⁵ sword²⁷¹⁹ in his hand³⁰²⁷, the donkey⁸⁶⁰ turned⁵¹⁸⁶ off from the way¹⁸⁷⁰ and went¹⁹⁸⁰ into the field⁷⁷⁰⁴; but Balaam^1109a struck⁵²²¹ the donkey⁸⁶⁰ to turn⁵¹⁸⁶ her back⁵¹⁸⁶ into the way¹⁸⁷⁰.
			Num 22:25 When the donkey⁸⁶⁰ saw⁷²⁰⁰ the angel⁴³⁹⁷ of the LORD³⁰⁶⁸, she pressed³⁹⁰⁵ herself to the wall⁷⁰²³ and pressed³⁹⁰⁵ Balaam's^1109a foot⁷²⁷² against⁴¹³ the wall⁷⁰²³, so he struck⁵²²¹ her again³²⁵⁴.
			Num 22:27 When the donkey⁸⁶⁰ saw⁷²⁰⁰ the angel⁴³⁹⁷ of the LORD³⁰⁶⁸, she lay⁷²⁵⁷ down⁷²⁵⁷ under⁸⁴⁷⁸ Balaam^1109a; so Balaam^1109a was angry⁶³⁹^,²⁷³⁴ and struck⁵²²¹ the donkey⁸⁶⁰ with his stick⁴⁷³¹.
			Num 22:28 And the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ opened^6605a the mouth⁶³¹⁰ of the donkey⁸⁶⁰, and she said⁵⁵⁹ to Balaam^1109a, "What⁴¹⁰⁰ have I done^6213a to you, that you have struck⁵²²¹ me these²⁰⁸⁸ three⁷⁹⁶⁹ times⁷²⁷²?"
			Num 22:29 Then Balaam^1109a said⁵⁵⁹ to the donkey⁸⁶⁰, "Because³⁵⁸⁸ you have made^5953a a mockery^5953a of me! If³⁸⁶³ there³⁴²⁶ had¹⁴²⁶ been³⁴²⁶ a sword²⁷¹⁹ in my hand³⁰²⁷, I would have killed²⁰²⁶ you by now⁶²⁵⁸."
			Num 22:30 The donkey⁸⁶⁰ said⁵⁵⁹ to Balaam^1109a, "Am I not your donkey⁸⁶⁰ on which⁸³⁴ you have ridden⁷³⁹² all⁴⁴⁸⁰^,⁵⁷⁵⁰ your life⁵⁷⁵⁰ to this²⁰⁸⁸ day³¹¹⁷? Have I ever^5532a been accustomed^5532a to do^6213a so³⁵⁴¹ to you?" And he said⁵⁵⁹, "No³⁸⁰⁸."
			Num 22:31 ¶ Then the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ opened¹⁵⁴⁰ the eyes⁵⁸⁶⁹ of Balaam^1109a, and he saw⁷²⁰⁰ the angel⁴³⁹⁷ of the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ standing⁵³²⁴ in the way¹⁸⁷⁰ with his drawn⁸⁰²⁵ sword²⁷¹⁹ in his hand³⁰²⁷; and he bowed⁶⁹¹⁵ all the way¹⁸⁷⁰ to the ground⁶³⁹.
			Num 22:34 Balaam^1109a said⁵⁵⁹ to the angel⁴³⁹⁷ of the LORD³⁰⁶⁸, "I have sinned²³⁹⁸, for I did not know³⁰⁴⁵ that you were standing⁵³²⁴ in the way¹⁸⁷⁰ against⁷¹²² me. Now⁶²⁵⁸ then, if⁵¹⁸ it is displeasing^7489a to you, I will turn⁷⁷²⁵ back⁷⁷²⁵."
