AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Samuel 28:8 ¶ So Saul disguised himself by wearing different clothes, and he left with two men, and they came to the woman at night. He said to her, "Conjure up for me, please, and bring up [from the dead] for me [the spirit] whom I shall name to you." |
Bible Question: in Matthew 1:17, he mentions three fourteens (sum of 42). What is significant about these numbers biblically speaking (i.e. without gematria)? |
Bible Answer: Greetings, Three is often referred to as the number of perfection. Seven is often referred to as the number of completion. The only symbolic meaning I can find in Matthew's decision of using such numbers would be to imply that Christ's background was twice completed and three times perfect. Personally, I don't put much faith in the symbolic meanings behind the various numbers used in the Bible. Jalek |
