Bible Question: In the book of Ruth, it speaks about a kinsman next in line to redeem the household of Elimelech's. When Boaz approached this man as directed by the elders of the city, agreed to the first terms. However, he was relunctant to accept the purchasing the property as required. Did this mean that this man had enough money to protect his own inheritance. Therefore, he withdrew his claim on Ruth? |
Bible Answer: Good day! In all likelihood, the relative already had a family with children, so it was possible the inheritance that would have gone to his own children may have reverted to Ruth's instead. Steve |
