Bible Question: What are adequate boundaries for a woman to take among male workers? Is it good for a woman to be among other women? |
Bible Answer: Hello Reighnskye; I just thought of this while reading your question. The book of Judges show a pattern of when Israel was disobiedent to God He "cursed, punished, etc." them and when they returned and repented He blessed them. Here in Ruth we see at the beginning that Israel was possibly in the middle of one of those punishing times. But later we see that God begins to bless them possibly because the had repented. (This is mostly opion or suppisition on my part but it does seem to fit). When Naomi and Ruth return there is a danger to Ruth because she is a Moabite. The Moabites were enemies of Israel. But here we have a Moabite woman in their midst even though she had converted not all may have known and she may have been in danger of those who just returning to God in their zealouseness to keep God's commandments might do her harm. Therefore Naomi encourages her to stay with the maidens of Boaz who was family and would protect her as such. Just thinking. Blessing to you Aaron |
