Bible Answer: Scripture ... Ruth 1:8-18 ... Greetings angelaeley and welcome to the forum, Naomi asked twice (vv 8, 11) and Orpah chose not to press the point. Maybe it was she didn't want to offend her mother-in-law ... or didn't what to really leave her lifestyle - knowing that she probably wouldn't get married, but less have a child.
