Bible Question (short): 1st Samuel |
Question (full): In the 2nd book of Samuel, due to the fall of Eli and his sons, they became so fed up with a dysfunctional priesthood, Israel persisted until God relented giving a king to Israel. Samuel warned them about all the taxes and burdens the king would heap on them, including snatching their sons to use in war. America did NOT want a king, but got one anyway. Considering the nature of the days, when even evangelical Christians are validating terms like heterosexism and homophobe as if there was no heresy in those words. Some Christians even hide a self serving administration behind his race. One thing about a king, he doesn't lead from behind in times of war. If God gave Israel a king they wanted, why didn't he NOT give America s king they did not want? |
