Bible Question: I would like to know how many books/testaments were excluded from the bible when it was first printed? |
Bible Answer: Every book that isn't in it. That might appear to be a wise guy answer but it is the truth. The cannon of the Old and New Testament insured that only authentic and inspired were included. There are many books which could not be authenticated or were not considered inspired at the time the cannon was formed that were not included in the cannon. If you want a list of books that were thought to have some merit but weren't considered inspired look at the Apocrypha or Deuterocanonical books. As of late there are many books that try to lay claim to being lost books of the Bible. But none of them can be authenticated nor are the considered inspired of God. |
