Subject: Is It You, Doc? |
Bible Note: justme, I appreciate your commitment to the truth on this matter. I KNOW I had not been the only one. Now, I don't know if I am the target of "what happen to you," but I know that the ONLY moderator in a believers life is the Word of God and the Holy Spirit who applies the Word not only to the individual believers life, but is also sufficient for the Church-body as a whole. When Israel gathered before God at the Tabernacle there was no other "rules" or "guidelines" to which Israel was compelled or commanded to obey else they would be "dealt" with in accordance to those rules or guidelines. What Christians, and brethren that make sites where Christians gather don't realize is that all these sites are rife with "rules of conduct" and "guidelines" and such that dictate to the Christian how they are to act which supersedes the Word of God, and quite frankly, God Himself in the Person of the Holy Spirit, because if one were to "run afoul" of their rules, which may or may not be in compliance to the Word of God, their sin against Christ is compounded daily all across the NET and Christians are being taught to follow human-made rules in same fashion as the Sadducees and Pharisees who compelled the people to obey their interpretations of the Law of God without question, and whoever didn't was excommunicated from the synagogue/Temple the same was the blind man who Christ gave sight in John 9:34 was "cast out" (banned/excommunicated) from the congregation of believers for questioning or disagreeing with their "rule" over the people. This is what Peter was saying when warning those that had the oversight to not "lord it over the people." And if you think about the explosion of information that accompanied the beginning and continuation of the "Information Age," and computers and the Internet that that enables this "age" I am sure the words of Christ are even more understood that because of the "iniquity that abounds (on websites) that the love of many will grow cold." If one is to believe in Sola Scriptura I find it difficult that these would also allow the sola scriptura of written rules and guidelines that supersede the very Word of God, a Word that is TOTALLY SUFFICIENT for the Church today as it was for Israel in their day. There is something very wrong, sinfully wrong, when censorship and muzzling and control of other Christians under the anointing even, goes on daily and without accountability to the Scripture and to God. "justme," I would like for you to either call or write me that we may talk and I learn of your experiences. If Lockman is to be a GODly place where Christians can congregate to practice, share, and exercise their God-given gifts, then it is the Church as a people that is to make it happen, not moderators, or people in the dark shadows that treat Christians as though they are still in the world and under the control of the god of this world. We have a higher standard that God is given us in His Word. We are not only obligated, but commanded and instructed in how we are to behave in personal life as well as in corporate life when we gather together as a people. Sola Scriptura is either true and we practice it, or it is a lie and we allow others to dictate our behavior. |
