Bible Question: where can i find scripture to assure my friend she does not have to be re-babtized. or even baptized at all to get to heaven.., isnt being baptized a personal thing.. more for yourself and not for God? |
Bible Answer: Legs, The Bible doesn't teach re-baptism. Baptism is personal, our salvation is personal but it is a commandment of God. It was commanded by Jesus Himself. Refer to scriptures That Paulus gave you.Look at Acts 2:38 and Romans 6. Now with that said keep this in mind. The focus of baptism is on Jesus Christ. 1PT 3:20,21. But it's part of the whole where our salvation is concerned. Without faith,God's grace and understanding that it's not by our effort but it all hinges on what God has done for us in His Son Jesus Christ and what our response to the message of the Gospel. It's not just about getting to heaven but being right with God. In Him, lionheart |
