Bible Question:
In Psalm 139 it says before we were even born God knows our days from birth to our death, and because I have surrendered to Jesus Christ as my Lord I am going to be with Him. Is praying for a longer life, I am praying to live until I am 75, not in His will? justme I am wondering because the LORD knows all of my life span, am I asking something against His will. |
Bible Answer: Hi justme as you say "In Psalm 139 it says before we were even born God knows our days from birth to our death" If God knows the day of your death from before you were born, then isn't there the possibility, that the length of "YOUR" days would also include your prayer? As an example there is also something that will add days to our lives, after we are born so God must factor in all of these beforehand. Because He knows everything we will do in our lives. Exo 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. Eph 6:1-3 1. Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. 2. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) 3. That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. Attempting to add some hope:-) lightedsteps |
