Subject: Do you think there are any churches that |
Bible Note: Hi, vintage... Most of what we think of as Judaism was more influenced by rabbis in Europe centuries after the primitive church spread out in the Roman empire. I have attended "Jewish Messianic Fellowship" churches, discovering that there is very little understanding of church history, let alone Jewish history. Doctrinally, they also leave a lot to be desired. I have yet to find any of them giving a proper exegesis of Galatians or Hebrews -- books that lay to rest the very errors that they continuously promulgate. There are very few brand new errors. God bless them, but Christianity is supra-cultural. A saved Jew is no more precious to God than a saved gentile. Being kosher, Shabbat observance, or acting like an Ashkenazi Jew, will not buy one mite's worth of righteousness in the divine economy. In Him, Doc PS Why is it that one can never find a Jewish Messianic Fellowship imitating Sephari or Mizrahi Jews? (Rhetorical question, actually.) |
