Bible Question:
could the term "raised from the dead" be interpreted as the spiritual rebirth? could this be what He referred to when He said, "these things shall you do and greater because I go to the Father? |
Bible Answer: holyours, Good to have you with us. Often a simple word study will help clarify our understanding of certain words or phrases. How a word or phrase is used can make a difference in what we are reading. Here are a few of the usages of the word raised. 1. anistemi- To get up, stand up, come back to life. 2. egeiro- To heal, raise to life. 3. epairo- to lift up. 4. synegeiro- Raised with. These are some examples of what I'm trying to convey here. I'm not a greek scholar as some of my compatriots here on the forum but I manage to stumble my way through. If you have a concordance you can look all this up and it'll give you the scripture references you need. I hope this helps. In Him, lionheart |
