Bible Question: Again, I understand we are not under the law, but God does expect us to obey his laws. When He say remember the Sabbath and keep it holy, I feel he wants us to worship, praise, meditate on His word, and honor Him doing all things unto His glory. I spend time on that day in my yard tending to it, enjoying the very thing He causes to florish. But I don't want to dishonor him, if this form of relaxation and appreciation is considered work. Can you shed some light on this? Thank you. |
Bible Answer: "We do not keep the Sabbath holy by lounging around doing nothing. We are to rest from the business of our earthly calling in order to prosecute the business of our heavenly calling. If we do not spend the day doing the latter, we fail to keep it holy." --J. I Packer |
