Subject: Can you continue to sin an go to heaven? |
Bible Note: I am not sure I agree with your answere of "no". I have in my past helped in rescue mission's, preaching and counseling with those who were hooked on alcohol and drugs, and sexual addictions, I never saw one just suddenly stop. They do have relapses and there are genuine hearts of repentance. Physically addiction's are very difficult to brake. How do we explain 1 John 1:8,9,10 "If we say we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His Word is not in us." We all have the sin of omission, and comission. I am a sinner! I do not believe anyone is without sin until we are with the LORD. To say we can not sin after surrendering to Jesus Christ changes salvation to that of "works" not "Grace" In 1 Corinthians 5:1-13 Paul is dealing with immorality in the church of a man. In 2 Corinthians 2: 1-10 Then Pauls to forgive and to allow his return to the Body after his repentance. Finally 1John 2:1 "My little children, I am writting these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteousness." Look over these verses, pray about it and read more in His Word about it and let's dialogue later, Blessings. justme |
