Bible Question:
In the old and new testiment, why are there more than one on some. Samuel,Kings,Corinthians,Thessalonians, Timothy,Peter John |
Bible Answer: Thats a good question. In the case of Samuel, though some of it was written by him, we know that not all of it was, because of the fact his death is recorded. Also it is recorded in First Chronicles, that Nathan and God wrote about some of the stuff found in Samuel. Why it is in two books I don't know and, interestingly, in the Hebrew Bible, Samuel is just one book. In the New Testament however, the books are sometimes letters to different Churches, so that would explain the why, because they are simply different letters addressed to different Churches.-John |
