Bible Question (short): Is New Testament Inspired by God |
Question (full): Why is the New Testament considered inspired by God? I mean there were plenty of letters and books being used in various early churches. I understand the councils deciding which books to canonize and so forth, but isn't an awful lot of faith put on the fact that these guys made proper decisions? And most of these NT books were letters to churches. Was what Paul (and others) wrote actual truth inspired by God or merely his opinion. His opinion is still better than any preacher I have heard, but that doesn't mean it comes from God. Not saying it wasn't inspired, but just curious. I'd love to hear how you guys have settled this for yourselves. Thank you, confused??? |
