Gen 2:23 The man said, "This is now bone of my bones, And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man." Does God marry everybody? And if he does not marry everyone then some folks should not be married. So is divorce okay in this situation? |
Bible Answer: The verse that you are looking for is do not be unequally yoked with an unbeliever. This is before you get married. Since you are already married it does not apply to you. You will have to do a thorough study on marriage and divorce as well as on your own motives to determine if your intentions are biblical. Begin with prayer and a personal study of God's word. Perhaps you may need to repent of trying to put away your wife. 1 John 1:5 This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 1 John 1:7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. |
