Bible Question:
When peoples concept of god becomes unbalanced, which two extremes does it tend to fall into Why are these extremes incorrect based on hebrews 12:1-12 |
Bible Answer: I would say that a lot fall into the extreme that God is unfair. Someone dies and it is not fair because that was a good person. Another one is the extreme that God allows everything bad to happen to me. We have a concept of what God is suppose to be and how he is to act on certain situations. The scripture you gave in Hebrews states the Lord disciplines those he loves. That totally unfair trial or tribulation that we may be experiencing may be intrepreted by us as why does God allow this and end of thinking God doesn't like me or love me because his rationale is different from mine. We always have to remember that we can't see the the beginning from the end and that discipline grows us in character to be the person God wants us to be. |
