Bible Question:
I just read the notes regarding Christ's death, burial and ressurection, as was quoted by Him "As Jonah was in the belly of the fish, so will I be in the earth, 3 days and 3 nights" - I read the explanation of the 3 days and 3 nights, which still left me with questions, therefore I want to ask a question. In Genesis 1:4,5 "God called the light Day and the darkness he called Night. So the EVENING and the MORNING were the first day." My question is, why aren't we just following HIS original order of time? FRIDAY EVENING to friday morning (day1) Sat. evening to Sat. morning (day2) Sun. evening to SUNDAY MORNING (day3) This fits quite well, now we can explain the 3 nights and 3 days as He explained them and not try to explain according to any calenders, events, customs, traditions, etc. that may fit the times. HIS WORD is everlasting, and it transcends all time. He said it and we cannot add to it or subtract from it, 3 days and 3 nights in the earth is what He said. AMEN ! Be Blessed ! LRP |
