Subject: Nazirite ... immaculate conception??? |
Bible Note: emmaus ... I am joel k , the original poster of this tread. Thank you for the "educated" information you offer. I guess you are one of the few who understands that the present versions of the bible are not the only inspired Word of God, but rather a cropped and controled revision of God's word. This is more like the information I was asking for. I saw on your profile that you are a Catholic. While everyone agrees that there has been much shameful news aired about some laymen of the Catholic denomination, I , however take a differnt approach. As a southern Baptist, I have heard much slander and name calling going out to the Catholics. And I stand in their defense. We all have faith in the same God, the Holy one of Israel. If we choose to be condemning, we should condemn the sin, not the sinner. As far as immaculate conception goes I was asking if the birth of a nazirite was concieved by the Holy Spirit, like the conception of Christ, or was the child from his own father. In all 3 cases, the woman was barren and the angel of the Lord came and said she will concieve. Each scripture of a nazirite refers to their purpose of bringing deliverance of God's people, like Christ. However, as you know there is some distinct differences between them and Christ. Christ was born of a virgin, not a barren woman. He came eating and drinking. (matt. 11:19) Christ forfilled prophesy and of course the obvious difference, crucificion and ressurection I hope all who read this note can understand my quest was not to devaluate the birth of our Savior as to make it seem more common, but my quest was to prove Jesus was the ONLY begotten Son of God. I have found the answer that proves a nazirite was NOT concieved immaculately, but of his own father. (1 sammuel 1:19) thank you to all who participated with out contentions. joel k |
