Bible Question: I've been having some talks with some different people about homosexuality, but that is not my main question. Did God make us all perfect? It was brought to my attention that God makes each of us perfect in His image, so it is impossible for a man to be born Gay, b/c man is made perfect - and homosexuality is not pure and perfect. Is there any Bible scriptures referring to this? Also I've had debates that God did not make everyone perfect, only Jesus - God's son. They have said, look at all of the people born with diseases, retardation, deadly conditions, born into pain and suffering ect. They said that does not look like perfection.....God Bless. |
Bible Answer: Genesis 1:27 "God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created Him; male and female He created them." God created man in a perfect right relationship with Him and placed Him in the garden of Eden or ( paridise) and gave him one command, Gen.2:16 "And the Lord God commanded the man, You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it YOU WILL SURELY DIE." Satan came along and deceived man and he made a choice not to obey God but to eat from the tree he was told that if he did he would die. Gen.2:7-27 records the curses that came upon man and the world at the point of disobedence. Man was cast out of the paridise of God. Gen.5:1-3 This is the written account of Adam's line. When God created man, he made Him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female and blessed them. And when they were created, He called them man. When Adam had lived 130 years, HE HAD A SON IN HIS OWN LIKENESS, IN HIS OWN IMAGE; ...." As God created man in His own perfect image, so now sinful Adam has a son in his own imperfect image. In the book of Psalms it records that man is fashioned in sin. The only way to recover the perfect image of God again is through Jesus Christ the second Adam I Cor.15:45-49. Jesus came in the form of a man to fulfill what man could not fulfill in the sinful nature. Through the born again experience Jn.3:1-7 and the impartation of God's Holy Spirit do we positionally regain the perfect image of God. |
