Bible Question:
I have always beleived in God and read the bible. I find now that the bible is changing with the times. If one thing was there, and people dont like it, well, they change it. WHY? Gods word has not changed so why should the bible? I use the King James Version. If using that version I have these questions to ask Internet Evangelist R.L. Grossi seeing he changes his email adress daily I think. His statement; JESUS CHRIST WENT TO THE CROSS SO YOU CAN GO TO HEAVEN - The good news is that God came from Heaven ... Well, from my reading of any OLD bible it says things a little different. Here is my whatever, I know I love the bible. This is all JUST the bible, so despute this. About the dead: Psalms 115:17 Ecclesiastes 9:5 Isaiah 26:14 Thats about the dead, This is about going to heaven. Revelations 14:3 John 3:13 Psalms 37:29 Psalms 115:16 Isaiah 65:17 And thats just the start. There is much more than that. Just look at the Lords Prayer, Our father who art in heaven, Hallow be thy name (What name, not title) Thy kingdom come. ( Come where? ) Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. ( Why if we all go to heaven or hell. and also if there is a hell, how can the dead be concious of nothing at all? ) Enjoy, James Taggart |
Bible Answer: Welcome to the Forum!God's word never ever changes! James 1 :16-18 We have different translations of the bible. Some people understand one translation over another. I personnally like the New King James. My family likes The NIV. The meaning is the same but in different words. For a good study of a particular verse read several translations, and ask questions on this forum! Hallowed be thy name... means God's name should be set apart from others. Psalms 34:3 Thy kingdom come... His kingdom comes to earth. Rev 21:1-3 Right now in people's hearts for those who ask HIM in..Rev 3:19-20 Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven... People are asking for God's will to be done here on earth as his will is done in heaven. We will know God's will by reading the bible.. I'll let others answer the rest of your questions. Seedling |
