Bible Question: How could the people of Nazareth not know Jesus was the Massiah? Did they not know he was the child born in Bethlaham by a virgine? Or did they know, they just decided to not beleave? |
Bible Answer: Greetings, This was a man that was familiar to them. This was Joseph's son afterall - the guy who lived just a few doors down. Too often we do not see that which is right beside us and this was surely a good part of the reason they didn't believe. Another reason was the same as people everywhere. They expected the Lord to make a grand entrance - with trumpets and angels announcing His arrival - not the quiet peaceful entrance that the Lord did make - a little baby born in a stable among the animals. Hope this helps. prayon |
