Subject: Can we recognize loved ones in heaven |
Bible Note: If I may interject at this point, I'd like to say that Norm HAS answered the question. The Bible is NOT particularly clear on this controversy. The scripture you've cited with the rich man Lazarus does seem to favor your position but it is only a parable. In seeming contrast are the scriptures from Norm which seem to say that we won't have our physical bodies in heaven. Just my opinion, but I'm thinking since the whole universe is going to go up in smoke according to Peter that Heaven is going to be a metaphysical place, that is spiritual where God's Being is going to be forever. We as christians will be there forever with him but we don't really have clear details on exactly what it's going to be like as we humans don't have any "reference points" for such a spiritual place. I think I'll wait until it happens and see what it's going to be like. This one thing I do know: it's going to be far more glorious and wonderful than anything we could possibly imagine. Blessings to you all. Country Girl |
