Bible Note: Angel, It's to my understanding that a Christian is a person who has accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. According to Gal. 5:16, we have two natures, a fleshly nature and a spiritual nature. I would love to tell you that since my relationship with Christ that I have not committed a sin. But I can't. Can you?? Personally, I'm having a difficult time understand why God would tell us to forgive one another when He won't forgive us for committing a sin that's not even the unpardonable sin. "Once saved always saved" has been discussed, debated and even argued over on this forum. Some believe you can loose your salvation, and some believe you can't. I BELIEVE YOU CAN'T!! One of the many reasons that I believe this is because "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus", and if you followed Romans 8 down to the 35th verse, you’ll see that there is absolutely nothing in heaven or hell that can separate me from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus, and I do believe that would include suicide. If I committed suicide and went to hell (figuratively speaking), then the question is, was I a Christian to begin with. There will be many that say Lord, Lord, and will be denied because Jesus will claim to NEVER have known them, not, “I knew him at a point and time in his life and he fell away”, but, “I NEVER knew you”. Are there levels of sin?? Is the taking of a life any worst then lying, stealing, or cheating on ones taxes in the eyes of God?? Perfection is not one of my strong points. I’m working in that area, but I’m not there yet. I have been known to be wrong, and if I am, then pray for me, ‘cause it would probably take an act of God to change my stance on Loosing one’s Salvation. The CurtMan |
